If she doesn't have a kitchen yet, and you have the space, I'm sure she'd love it.
My daughter has started to really enjoy wooden train sets too -- both putting together the tracks and driving the trains around.

Re: 2 year old moms
Jacob turned 2 on Saturday ( yeah) but his party isn't until next Saturday however I have lots of toys that I hope he gets that are geared towards toddlers....
For boys-- Train table Thomas the train stuff to put on the table Learning through music by Fisher price with Cartridges Mickey Mouse clubhouse with the figurines Fisher price lights and sounds soccer Easel with magnetic side and chalkboard side with the letters Fisher price shake and go raceway Legos ( the big ones)
Some of those things are unisex and I think are great.. These are some of the things I have purchased for girls at 2: Dress up trunk with assorted clothes, shoes, pocketbooks
My first Dollhouse by Fisher price with different rooms
Snap n style dolls.. They are different dolls that have clothes that you can snap on and they have a piece which you can keep the clothes neat and tidy..
Cash register
Anything Dora
I got Jacob something I thought he would never like and he loves it- keeps him busy for hours. I got in Target it was a big Little EInsteins sticker book awith alot of pictures... I thought it was a little expensive for $12 but I bought it anyway and I must say he loves it!!!!! When we go to restaurants I bring it with me and he just sits there and peeks all the stickers... ( Thanks Mrs R!!!)
If I can think of anything else, I will let you know....

Re: 2 year old moms
We're doing the kitchen for Christmas. I like the cash register and dress up trunk idea. She has the snap on dolls and my mom got her some more. I guess I just need to go an browse Toys R us.

Re: 2 year old moms
Im getting RJ a bike for his b-day as well as the inflatable bounce house...
Anyone who asks what they should get, Im telling them clothes-
Honestly his b-day is so close to x-mas and he gets so many toys from so many people- I dont have the room to store all this stuff...
Last year I was putting toys in storage that we had only had for like 2-3 months

this is my biggest thing Jen...Bella's b-day is on Saturday I say clothes or toys, because I just don't know. cash register sounds cool I am thinking more crafts now, like playdoh, painting , and the like....she LOOOVES to color.
there's a counting "radio" like the refridge alphabet from leapfrog that has blown me away with Bella using it and understanding it.

I saw that. I'm glad to have a review on it. I might get that or tell someone to get it. She loves her fridge phonics thing.
hey Jen, I was talking about the alphabet and farm fridgephonics. I just bought the radio for her b-day this weekend...
Sorry for the confusion. I'll let you know when we DO break it out

Re: 2 year old moms
Katherine's b-day is Friday and I still haven't bought her anything, but DH and I are going to Toys R Us tomorrow.
I've been telling people clothes. My mom bought her a play kitchen and my MIL bought her a tea set and I don't know what else yet.
I plan on getting some "dress up" stuff and arts and crafts supplies, and whatever else strikes my fancy in TRU...oh, and I got her an Elmo toddler backpack for her little preschool and I'm getting an Elmo "potty"...good times!

Re: 2 year old moms
Nate has the LF Radio Fridge and the LF Fridge Phonics letters and also loves both of them. He also likes the V-Tech Smartville Alphabet Train.
The other stuff he likes are the typical boy stuff - cars, trains, airplanes.
