2011 Social Security tax break
Does anyone know about this and is this true?
If you pay SS you will have an extra $2 in your pocket for eveyr $100 in gross pay you make.

The social security withholding rate for employees went down to 4.2% from 6.2%.
So every week you should be getting an extra 2% in your net check.

Employees usually pay 6.2% of their initial $106,800 yearly earned wages. Starting in 2011 the amount will change to only 4.2% of employee’s incomes. This means for each $100 in wages, workers will pay $4.20 instead of $6.20.

According to IRS.gov employers must use the new tax tables asap but have until 1/31 to comply. I imagine payroll companies like adp will use the correct tables right away.
