Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!
First off, congrats to all those with recent BFPs! Wishing you a very happy and healthy 9 months!
A couple questions that might help those of us who are still TTC!
1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.)
2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.)
3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!)
4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.)
Thanks to anyone who takes the time to do this!

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!
1. We used the CBEFM to determine ovulation date.
2. We BD'ed 2 days before ovulation and the day of ovulation.
3. I started testing around 10 DPO and didn't receive my BFP until AF was due.
4. No funky things for me. Just egg + sperm = pregnant woman.
G/L to everyone!!

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!
1. I temped and used OPKs. I also checked CM and CP (cervical position).
2. We tried to BD at least every other day starting around CD 7 or 8 (when I knew it was getting closer to O. Then the day before O, day of O, and the day after.
3. I tested at 11DPO and got a positive. I really didn't expect it that early!
4. We also used preseed and I would prop myself up with a pillow for at least 10 minutes after BD. I was taking prenatals and I added in Omega 3-6-9 supplement from AF to O. DH took a regular multi-vitamin plus vitamin C (I read that taking C helps sperm quality in smokers). Oh, yeah, plus green tea, grapefruit juice, baby carrots - all that is supposed to help with fertile CM.

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!
1. I've been temping for almost a year, first using it to avoid getting pregnant. This month when I got my BFP, I also used OPKs which told me that ovulation was happening a day earlier than I thought.
2. Everynight I got a positive reading on the OPK. (Actually this turned out to be only two nights in a row b/c we were so exhausted from babysitting our nieces the third night.)
3. At how many dpo did you test? I test in the evening of 11 DPO and got a solid BFP on an Answer test. This was about 4 days before AF.
4. Anything else that might have contributed? I drank a cup of grapefruit juice CD 1-10 and carrots everyday to help with my CM.

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!
1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.) Temping and charting.
2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.) We BD'd the 2 days prior to O and day after O (for good measure )
3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!) Tested the evening of 10dpo and got a BFN...tested with FMU on 11dpo and got the BFP. I used Dollar Tree tests...then I went out and bought a digital and tested again (later in the morning of 11dpo) and saw "Pregnant".
4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.) I went on prenatals a few months ago - to prepare my body...but I don't know if that contributed to anything. I didn't try any other tricks - just good ole fashioned sperm & egg.

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!
1. I used temping and OPK's 2. We BD a few days before O, day of O, and 2 days after just to be sure! 3. Tested 9DPO with BFN and tested 11DPO with BFP (3 days before AF was due) 4. We had been trying for a few months and this month I did a few things differently. I took baby aspirin once a day (81mg), mucinex around time of O and took B-6 in addition to the pre-natal vitamin I had been taking. This was the first month we didn't use preseed. Oh and I also ate Barilla plus!

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!
1. What method did you use to TTC? I was temping for 3 months, Charting usuing TCOYF.com for 4 months.
2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.) We were trying every other day CD 10-20 until positive then 2 days in a row...The month before I started to save (as yucky as it sounds) my OPK tests so I can see the surge..Trust me it helped so much!!
3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!) I was almost a week late, I waited for St. Gerard Day though! The month before I was testing 11dpo.
4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.) I started prenatals when we started TTC, I also bought 2 boxes of Preseed and we used that for only 2 months, the only NEW thing I did was eat the Barilla Pasta and BDed on Days 17 & 18, which was late but I guess it helped!!!
GOOD LUCK TO ALL TTC!!!!!! Great idea for a thread! Hope it helps!

What does aspirin do for you?
It's supposed to stimulate blood flow to the uterus and ovaries.

It's supposed to stimulate blood flow to the uterus and ovaries.
It also prevents clotting in the uterus which you do NOT want when a baby is trying to implant. I also read one study that said it could improve egg quality(not suire how as I read it a long time ago) I take 1 a day

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!
Remember I told you girls at the end of Nov that I was throwing it all out for the entire month of December. Well - I did!
I usually use an OPK kit so for the past couple of months I always ovualted the 1st of the month like clockwork. We did not use on for Dec
So for the last week in Novemeber & the first two weeks in December we literally BD'd every other day until a couple of days before AF was due.
AF was due around the 9-11th and I tested on the 8th and got the BFP.
The funny thing is is that the doctor said we conceived around nov 25. that was a week after AF which woudln't be an ovualitng time for me. So I thought that was interesting.

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!
1. Just used OPKs. Mine actually broke last month (when we conceived) so I just went by my CM
2. When I first got CM, 2 days in a row, then 1 day off and 2 days again. I think that BDing before Oing really helped. Plus it was the first time we BD in the morning!
3. I was actually 2 days late. My aunt had died and my parents were on vacation in Cali, so I had to call them, have their flights changed, etc. It was Dh who brought up the fact that I was late
4. I took baby aspiring for 5 days after first sign of CM an used PreSeed

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!
1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.) Absolutely nothing. My cycle is about 28-30 days every month. I assumed my O day was around the 14th. We BD on CD 9, 11, 12 & 14
2. What was your BD schedule? Every other day starting from 4 days prior to O all the way to 2 days after O
3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!) Tested and got my BFP 4 days before my missed AF which would be 10DPO (or CD 24) The line was dark as night. I tested again last night (CD27) and the line was even darker!
4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.) Just gods blessing & good timing.

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!
1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.)
We just figured out when I was ovulated and went around that schedule.
2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.) We traveled for a few days so we really only had one day to BD when I was ovulating but it supposedly was the best day to BD
3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!) I tested at 11 DPO and got a BFN. I got a BFP at 14 DPO.
4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.) I took prenatals the entire time
