I went through failed IF treatments TTC DC #2 and the month I stopped going to the RE was the month I surprisingly got pregnant on my own. What worked for me was:

Deanna's plan and the Clearblue OPK- not the advanced, the regular one. I also have a short LP so I used crinone during the 2WW. I got my BFP at 10dpo.

Hi..just got my bfp last week. I have 2 other DC. We tried for 2 months just going with the flow and 2 months using opk's..2nd month of opk's worked

We used the clearblue opk advanced and got my smiley on cd9! Didn't even realize I was ovulating so early! which made sense since I started opks the month earlier on cd10 and never got a smiley!

only other thing we did was try to bd as much as possible from cd 6 though cd 20...some days everyday and if that wasn't possible every other day.

I was kind of lazy about it this month .I was frustrated with the whole thing so I didn't use any opk's or anything .I just went by an app on my phone that said when I was ovulating and bd the day before ,of and day after .That is why I am so shocked it happened .Hope that is helpful .Good luck

what were some of your early symptoms? I am 8 dpo and don't want to test yet, but I have been burping and sneezing a lot, have had a headache for the last 2-3 days, and I have been a little crampy. I also went to bed around 7/8pm the last two days, when I usually go to bed around 10/11....Are these related to a possible pregnancy, or no?

First off, congrats to all those with recent BFPs! Wishing you a very happy and healthy 9 months!


A couple questions that might help those of us who are still TTC!

1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.). Since this was our first month trying we decided not to use Opks and go with the flow. However, I tracked my cycles for a few months prior using opks and paying attention to CM so I had a good idea when I ovulated. My cycles are 28 to 30 days and I got smileys on day 14 or 15 in the past.

2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.) we Bd day 11,12,13,14,16,18. Judging by my CM I believe I Od on day 16.

3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!)
Approximately 16 DPo on a blue dye test.
4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.). I elimated alcohol and caffiene. I'm on a good prenatal, fish oil , extra magnesium and a probiotic. I also eat a very healthy diet. Dh also takes fish oil, a multivitamin and generally eats well. Also, he elimated alcohol in the days before and the days during my fertile period.
