Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!
1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.) My cycles are sometimes irregular so I kept track of my period for the last 3-4 months and then I averaged the length to get 29 days. I entered that into mymonthlycycles.com and followed that schedule for when I will ovulate. Plus I checked my CM around O time.
2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.) We BD a week before my ovulation and then the week after. Every other day.
3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!) I used dollar tree test at 7 & 9 DPO and got negatives. On the 10 DPO I used an ept test and got my BFP.
4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.) I took prenatals just this month. I didn't use any other methods. I didn't even put my legs in the air afterwards. When the deed was done, I'd run to the bathroom to get cleaned up and then lay back down. I didn't walk around the house afterwards. It was right to bed.

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!
1. What method did you use to TTC?
Granted I was an IUI patient, BUT I still was instructed to temp and chart as well as use OPKs. Both tools were essential in figuring my ovulation each time I conceived and worked like clockwork.
2. What was your BD schedule?
I had IUIs before, probably during, and after ovulation which isnt terribly different than BDing. Unmedicated IUIs do not really increase your chances of conception - for me it was simply a conduit.
3. At how many dpo did you test?
The earliest I tested was 10dpo and I had to really work to see it.
4. Anything else that might have contributed?
Not a thing. Don't ask me about pasta

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!
1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.). The only thing I did was watch my EWCM which ended up not helping in the end anyway because my cycle ended up being a week off the month I conceived. So, my EWCM did not come when I thought it would. I also watched when my boobs would hurt because they would get sore about 2 days before O and then stay sore for about a week.
2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.). We just kinda did it as often as possible. At least once every other day. Since I didn't know when I O'd, we just tried to guess and do it as often as we could.
3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!). I tested at like 12DPO and got a BFN. Then I waited for AF and she didn't come. But, I had AF cramps and I was tried. So I tested when I was 2 days late and got another BFN. I was very frustrated! I waited another day and tested when I was 4 days late and when AF had not arrived. It was on that day that I got my BFP!!!!!!
4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.). I think we might have eaten Barilla pasta the week we conceived, but to be honest I'm not even sure when it happened since I didnt use an OPK. I would just say to try to NOT focus on it! We tired for about 5 months and each month I became nuts about making sure we BD'ed. DH told me to stop worrying and when God wants to give us a baby, he will. Sure enough, I got my BFP 3 weeks later!!!

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!
1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.).
I do not have a regular cycle, so as recommended by my doctor on CD 10 I started using Clear Blue Digital OPK’s daily. On CD 31 and 32 I finally got smileys. I also watched my EWCM which ended up appearing about 4 days before I ovulated.
2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.).
We did it as often as possible. However I was traveling on business the 2 days before I got my smiley. So we BD’d on Sunday. I was away on Monday and Tuesday, and on Wednesday night when I got home I tested, got the smiley and we BD’d that night. I got another smiley on Thursday morning as well and we BD’d two times on Thursday and once on Friday just to make sure that we covered it all. We continued to BD at least once every other day after that.
3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!).
At the request of my DH I tested really early at like 7DPO and of course got a BFN. (I was totally aware that it was a waste of a test, but DH insisted). Then we left for Jamaica and I was able to keep myself busy enough for a couple of days that I wasn’t harping on the idea of testing and giving in to temptation. I waited to test on our anniversary which was 2/25 and 11 or 12 DPO, at which point my boobs were pretty sore, and that was when we got our first BFP. We confirmed the next morning with a digital test.
4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.). I started taking prenatal vitamins in November 07. We also used Preseed.
I just want to add that aside from the soreness in my boobs, I really did not have any other symptoms. In fact I really did not think that I was PG and was pretty shocked to get a BFP.

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!
1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.).
Nothing really, except trying to watch CM. I don't really get much though, so we just BD'd lots - before, during and after the time I thought I would be O'ing. I knew my cycles are approximately 31-32 days so I used mymonthlycycle.com to determine the most fertile time.
2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.).
We started BDing on CD 11, and then did it every other day until CD 23. By then I was pretty sure I would have ovulated.
3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!).
I tested at what I think was 10DPO, even though I promised DH I wouldn't test until I was late. Oops! I didn't in a million years think it would come up positive (we had only tried one other cycle and in retrospect I was off on the days) but it did. I couldn't believe my eyes. I tested again that night, and the line was even darker. I then tested the following morning (11DPO) with a digital and it was also positive. It was confirmed with a blood test at the doc three days after the first BFP.
4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.). As I mentioned, I don't really get CM, which kind of concerned me when we decided to try because I worried I wasn't ovulating. At the recommendation of girls on here, I started using Mucinex on CD10 and continued to take it until we stopped BDing. Although I didn't notice a major change in any visible CM, DH definitely noticed I was much more "slick." Sorry, TMI. So, maybe it helped! I also propped pillows under my butt and kept my legs in the air for 20-30 mins after every time we had sex. Who knows if that did anything, but I insisted on trying it!!! (much to Dh's amusement)
Symptoms- Beginning around 4-5 DPO I started getting slight cramping. I thought it was too early to AF cramps, but it also didn't seem all that much different from my AF cramps so I didn't think much of it. My nipples also felt like they were going to fall off because they stung so bad for a couple of days before the BFP. At around 9-10 DPO (and also why I was sure the first test would be negative) I had what felt exactly like AF cramps, but I guess they weren't!
I hope this info helps someone, and thanks for all the love and support! And loads of baby dust to you all!!

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!
Thanks so much for bumping! I didn't even know this topis existed!
1. What method did you use to TTC? We used CBE digital OPKs. I started testing when I thought I was due, around cycle day 26. I ran out of OPK's before I got my and had a discussion with DH about the pro's and con's of buying a whole other set. I really thought I just missed it. He convinced me that we should and I got my that night!
2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.) We BD's cycle days 13, 16, 18, 20 (in the AM), 21, 23 (positive OPK) and then 24. For the last 4 or 5 of those I stayed in bed after BD'ing and raised my hips with a pillow. I stayed there for anywhere between 15-30 minutes.
3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!) I tested with a CBE +/- and then digital HPT with FMU on CD34, 10 DPO. I am convinced that my period was due on CD35 and I ovulated late because of our transatlantic flights on CD 5 & CD 10
4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.) I am not taking prenatals yet, and I don't think I did anything special.
Symptons: I have AF like cramps and have had them for probably a week now. I think this is why it's so hard to have this sink in. I feel like TBAF is going to show up any minutes. I had some dizziness and fatigue. At 9 DPO I was so sick to my stomach I could barely get off the couch. I can't really think of anything else but if I do I'll certainly repost!!
for everyone! You are all in my prayers!

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!
Hi Ladies, I hope these responses will be of help!
What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.) I went off the pill the end of last summer to regulate myself and to let nature take its course. After a few months of wacky cycles, at one point 60 days between cycles, I decided to give the Clear Blue Easy monitor a shot. I wasn't sure if/when I was ovulating because my cycles were all over the place. I used it for 2 months and conceived on my second cycle using it. I highly recommend it!!!! I am still in shock! I also tried to watch my CM but I really couldn't rely on that at all because I would get CM all throughout the month and never noticed the EWCM kind. This month I didn't have any noticeable CM around my peak days. I only started noticing CM at 4 DPO-8 DPO.
2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.) Since I had only used the monitor for one month prior, I tried to approximate when my peak days would be. The 1st month my peak days were on CD 21 & 22. So I was hoping I would ovulate around the same time, despite my cycles being a little crazy, and luckily we timed it right because my peak days came again right on schedule, CD 20 & 21. We BD'd CD17, CD19, then on both peak days CD 20 & 21 and that was it. Haven't BD'd since.
3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!) I stayed home from work because I didn't feel well at 12DPO and tested in the middle of the afternoon and got 1st BFP. I always test with FMU so I was completely shocked and still am...
4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.)
The CBEFM was the best tool for me. It helped me pin point my peak days. I would have never guessed that I would be ovulating later in the month at CD21 like I was.
The only other changes I tried to make this month were we changed to whole milk and I started drinking a lot more of it. I tried the Barila Plus pasta for the 1st time. I made a pasta salad with it and ate 1/2 a box over a couple of days around my peak days, but I don't think it contributed. After we BD'd I would stay in bed or just go to sleep for the night and put a pilliow under my butt for 15 minutes.
I really tried to do everything I learned from everyone on here and I feel so blessed to be pregnant. I'm now trying to do everything to have a healthy happy 9 months. Thank you to everyone for being so wonderful and supportive. I look forward to seeing everyone soon the pregnancy board. Sending everyone lots and lots of baby dust!!!!!!!! Please feel free to FM with any questions!
Thanks to anyone who takes the time to do this!

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!
1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.) CBEOPK, and usually looked out for EWCM,except for this month where I thought I didn't ovulate at all, and then just thought I ovulated really really late. (I had no CM this month so because of that I didn't use the OPK till cd14.)
2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.) Just made sure we added two days before, day of and after O. 3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!) Because I had no CM and I was testing every other day (with OPK) from cd14, I got a smiley on cd23-still no CM. Next day got a smiley again with CM. My dr later told me that opk sometimes turn positive because they pick up hcg and confuse it with Lh. Anyway if that is true then that was 9dpo. I then tested with a hpt on 12dpo and got my BFP.
4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.) Its been a struggle, we have been trying for a long while with some complications. My BFP came to me as a complete shock this month because I thought I didn't ovulate. Because of that for the first time I kind of stopped stressing and obsessing over ttc. I believe that helped with my BFP!

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!
1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.) I used FertilityFriend.com but I didn't chart or temp. I just entered in whenever AF arrived.
2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.) After AF left...every other day until I know I O'd.
3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!) 6DPO (CD25)...I might have O'd earlier then I thought. On average, I have a 32day cycle but it can range anywhere between 29-36.
4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.) I started taking Pre-Natal Vitamins 1.5months prior.
Good Luck

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!
hello, 1. i temped the first 4-5 months and then stopped because i found it annoying i used the cbefm for about 8 months (2 months into trying)
2. we bd every other day from cycle day 13-24 i o'd on day 23, i got peak reading day 22 and 23
3. i tested 9dpo BFN then again day 12 and got a BFP and day 13 again just to be sure
4. i don't think i did anything else extra that would have helped i have been taking prenatals since last July as per my doc, - i am anemic and have very low levels of folic acid already, i did order dh to stop taking hot baths! Also my symptoms were very sensitive teeth, extreme exhausation, sore boobs, and a did feel a few odd pangs in my ovary area, oh and the days of exhausation a coworker asked if i was okay because i seemed a bit edgy but i had no idea and had been in a good mood
hope this helps some people and good luck everyone

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!
HI I never posted on this.
1. What method did you use to TTC? I used OPK's the month I got pregnant but never once got a smiley face. I really didn't think I ovulated so I was shocked when I got a positive on the pregnancy test.
2. What was your BD schedule? We BD twice that month....day 10 & 12.
3. At how many dpo did you test? I'm not really sure what day I tested since I didn't think I was ovulating. I was on CD 25 and they had PG tests on sale at CVS so I decided to buy one....this was the first time in the 5 months we were trying that I took a test and bam it came up positive.
4. Anything else that might have contributed? I had been on prenatals since the summer. I decided to take B-complex vitamin that month and I also drank a lot of robotussin that month (boy did that help)
Best of luck to everyone!!!!
ETA: I wanted to add my symptoms: I had none. The week before I got my BFP I totally thought AF was coming. I had no sore boobs, & I was not tired at all.

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!
I can't believe I'm actually posting on this! I think I've read this post so many times I know it by heart!!!!
1. What method did you use to TTC? I used the digital OPK and the CBFM
2. What was your BD schedule? We started BDing on CD11, I got my smiley on CD 13, and my first peak on the monitor on CD14 so we BD'd every day from CD13-17 3. At how many dpo did you test? I tested on 9DPO and got half a line on an internet cheapy test...then tested again in the morning of 10DPO with an internet cheapy and there was really faint line that I though was an EVAP, bought FRER got a very visible pink line that afternoon without FMU and only holding in for 2 hours and then tested this morning at 11DPO with a digital and it came up PREGNANT so quickly!!!!! 4. Anything else that might have contributed? I was taking Maca, an herb, which I'm not taking anymore as well as had one accupuncture appt this time around right when I was O'ing...not sure if either helped, bc this month was the first mont out of the six we've been trying that we were really dilligent in BDing right on schedule

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!
1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.) I used preseed and checked CM.
2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.) We attempted to BD every other day starting on CD 10. I just came off BCP and had irregular cycles before BCPs. Around CD 20, I had pains on my left side for a few days. It felt like a pulled muscle. I think these were O pains. DH and I BD 1 or 2 times around those days.
3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!) I had a few pregnancy strips from early-pregnancytests.com. I tested on CD 31, completely expecting to see a BFN. There was a faint, but noticeable line. I was convinced this must be an evaporation line so I tested again the next morning. I got another faint line. The next morning (today), I used both a strip and a digital test. The line was darker and the digital confirmed the BFP.
4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.)

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!
I'm so excited to be able to post to this thread, thanks for bumping it for me
1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.) I tried the digital OPK and got the only defective in the store I ended up using the line type instead. I have also been tracking my cycle since Dec., but not tempting
2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.) We went with the more is more strategy - everyday from CD 6 to CD16, sometimes twice a day
3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!) I took a test 8DPO and got a BFN then I had pink spotting and some brown discharge, with lots of cramping - I really thought I was out. I tested again on 11DPO and saw a line so faint DH and I both thought it was a shawdow, tested again on 13DPO and got a BFP!
4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.) I started prenatals in January, but I don't think I did anything else.
Good Luck to everyone!

Re: Questions for those with recent BFPs to help us TTCers!
1. What method did you use to TTC? (temping, OPKs, etc.).
I was being closely monitored by my RE. I had sonograms around the time that follies were maturing, just to know for sure when I would O.
2. What was your BD schedule? (e.g., every other day until positive OPK; nothing, then every day once positive OPK, etc.).
Believe it or not, we kinda got pregnant against the odds. I O'd on CD14, and we BD'd about 4 hours AFTER O, and again the next morning. We didn't BD before O at all.
3. At how many dpo did you test? (including both BFNs and BFP might be helpful!).
I tested at 10DPO and got a BFN. Not to be deterred, I tested again on 13DPO and got my BFP!!!
4. Anything else that might have contributed? (prenatals, barilla plus, etc.). I have been taking prenatals for about 2 years, so I was already on board with that. I have PCOS, so I required some medical assistance in getting pregnant. I am taking Metformin, and this was my first month taking Clomid (100mg). I triggered with Ovidrel on CD13, and O'd on CD14.
After BD both times, I propped my butt up with a pillow and just surfed the web for about 1/2 hour. I'm sure that must have done SOMETHING to help it along!
Symptoms-
I had lots of weird stuff going on. My boobs were SO SORE from about CD5 on. Very unusual for me, but I also thought it could have been a side effect of the Clomid. That stuck with me, even up until now (I'm 5 weeks).
Also, out of nowhere, I was sick to my stomach at 7dpo (CD 21).
Also around CD 21, I started getting AF-like cramping. Wayyyyy too early, considering it usually starts around 2-3 days before AF shows up. I think I knew at this point that something was up. I didn't want to get my hopes up, but I said to DH, "With all of these weird symptoms, I'll be a little surprised if I DON'T get a BFP!"
