2nd, 3rd and possibly 4th demo? Updated
I interviewed in a school last week and did a demo.
It went well, but the principal ripped apart the lesson making her own suggestions.
I was invited back today and did two more demos.
The first was my original demo tweaked. The second was the next lesson which would go.
Now I am interviewing again on Friday, however I'm not sure if it is another demo or what. She said she will get back to me tomorrow with the details of Friday.
Have you ever seen someone jump through so many freakin hoops for a job?????

I've never heard of that many demos. In fact, I've never had to give a demo lesson! It must be a good sign though. They wouldn't waste that much time having your do so many lessons if they didn't like you!

that's insanee!!
the most i ever did was a panel interview with the entire dept, a demo in front of a class the entire dept and admins, interview with the princ and ap,and interview with the supt

That's the normal routine I have done also.
I can't imagine interviewing a few candidates with this long drawn out process. I'm hoping when I get the email today it isn't a demo tomorrow.
I don't know if it makes a difference but it is a city school, so I'm not sure if there process is like this.

This morning I get an email with one demo lesson. I worked on it, was pleased with my ending result. Made photocopies and all that.
I just got an email saying they didn't get that far and to do something else.
ughhhhh.....

Where is this? On LI?
Out of all the jobs I've had and the hundreds of interviews, I've had to do a grand total of ONE demo lesson.
This seems like power run amuck to me.

I know the job market is tough but honestly, if they're already micromanaging and scrutinizing every detail and you haven't even been hired yet, I'd hate to know what it's like to actually work there! I don't think I'd even want the position!

I had a similar thought- I wonder if you're getting a taste of what it will be like to work for them.
