I haven't had it yet, but DS's birthday is in July and it will definitely be a kiddie party - just "his friends" and my immediate family....

Im doing kindof half and half. We are having the party at Johnny Rockets. There will be a few kids, but more adults. About 30 people.

Nope...family party but there were kids too (friends and family who had kids DS's age)

Yes, we did. I was torn because I was having a baby the same weekend of DS's birthday. We ended up having a kiddie party with his little friends 2 weeks prior. DS had a blast. He recognizes his little friends now. They all have little birthday parties and everyone has fun.

I am planning to have one for DD for her 2nd in July with just a few of her little friends (maybe 3-4 kids) in our backyard. nothing big. then my parents and siblings, maybe some cousins later on in the day. I will be 9 month pregnant so it will be simple.
