3/16 UPDATE with another picture ....Wish us luck
We just submitted an application to Hands of Hope Animal Rescue to adopt this guy
This Jethro's story:
This little boy who we have named "Jethro" was dumped on the side of a police station in Hewlett, NY. He was in a wire crate, no food or water. He is completely matted from head to toe. I couldn't even lift the matts to see his eyes, his stomach was one huge matt. He couldn't lift his legs because they were matted together. Poor boy! But let me say that hasn't broken his spirit. He's a happy little boy.. Loves to give kisses and wag that tail! After he was groomed we could see the real damage He was completely emaciated! He is on a strict feeding schedule of 3 times a day and has already gained 2-3lbs. He has his rabies shot but per the vet we need him to gain more weight before he can have his booster shot he is about 2-4 years old. Jethro is a happy little boy who loves EVERYONE, everything he has gone though has not broken his spirit. His hair is now starting to grow back and he is a happy little boy....
This will be our 3rd dog But I know he will be a great fit here.
Hopefully we hear back soon.

thank you.
I know...his story broke my heart. One of the few stories that had me in tears. That's how I knew we needed to have him.
They had a picture of him after he was shaved down and you can see how thin he was. So sad But the foster mom said he's doing great now

Good luck! We inquired on him and were told that he had an adoption pending. This was a few weeks ago. I that they choose you. He deserves a forever home.

He's doing great. Checking everything out.
So far everyone seems to be getting along.
Our chihuahua is definitely letting him know where SHE stands. She is the boss
