3 car seats - what car?

hi ladies..

i have a 3 year old, and he might be in a booster by the time i have the twins...

just wondering what car everyone had if they have 3 car seats across??

i have a honda pilot - im almost sure they will fit across (DS might not be too happy) but it will do - I even have a 3rd row, but that will be tricky to put one side down and still have the 2 car seats next to each other...


PLEASE help me out here... obviously, i havent even tried the to car seat bases next to each other yet with DS car seat (only 13w4d)..

i think 3 is too young for a booster. my son was 2 1/2 when my twins were born and i had his britax and 2 bases in the back of a trailblazer. when the twins moved out of the infant seats i had to get a new car and got a sienna minivan. it wasn't what i really wanted but works

I have the Pilot. Right now we have a family member staying with us whose daughter is 16 months so I had to shift some carseats around .

I have the 2 infant carseats for my twins next to eachother behind the driver and in the middle. The right side behind the passenger is empty so we can pull the seat forward. We then have the convertible car seat in the 3rd row on the passenger side. Hopefully this makes sense to you! But it works:)


My friend has the Odyssey and she has 3 carseats across no problem.

I have a honda odyssey, doesn't help since you don't want a minivan

but sunshine kids makes narrower sized carseats and can fit 3 across in most sedans, so i've heard from a friend that uses them.

I'm sure they will fit. I have 3 across the back in a rav-4 and a corolla. I had 2 infant seats with a radian car seat. Then 2 radians and a britax marothan and it's fine. A little more room would be nice but it works for now.

thanks girls.. our pilot will 2 years old by the time the twins are born and we lease...so we would still keep it for the year and then see what we would get..

i have an explorer - i have infant seat, britax car seat , infant seat in my middle row

The Chevy Traverse has split captain seats and easy access to the 3rd row. We will only have 2 but are considering this for our next car. My friend has one and it works well for her. She has 2 kids in carseats and another who is a bit older.

I was so anti-mini van.. but we got the Odyssey.. we have twins now and twins on the way so it's lucky that we did get that lol.
