30 day Shred
So I am starting the 30 day shred video by Jillian Michaels. Was wondering if anyone has it and what your thoughts are....did you lose a lot of weight?

Re: 30 day Shred
I thought it was a wonderful workout that I would much rather enjoy while laying on the couch, eating Munchkins.
I bought it, tried it once, and that was it.
Jillian is great, but to me, she is a satanist to muscles.

Re: 30 day Shred

Re: 30 day Shred
It's a good workout, esp. when you get to the highest level. I don't think it's enough to make you lose weight just doing the video, but it would help tone, and if paired w/ a diet could help to lose weight.

Re: 30 day Shred
I had great results when I combined the one 30 day shred video they have on Excercise TV with a 30 min jog/speed walk. I also alternated with another video called Total Body Burn (45 min). I probably did one or the other about 3-4x a week and noticed an amazing change. I found that this kind of training really toned my body and kept the weight off (you continue to burn calories even when you're sitting when you increase muscle this way, at least that is what I was told) compared to just going on the elliptical for 45 min. I think the cardio from jogging helped me shed pounds but the 30 Day Shred helped tone, define my waiste and keep it off/eat less.

Re: 30 day Shred
I did it for a while - not daily, but as a regular part of my workout routine for several months. It was great for getting in better shape (got stronger, the exercises got easier), but I didn't lose any weight.

Re: 30 day Shred
I used it after I had my daughter and I think it's a good workout. I hired a personal trainer this year and she does a lot of the same moves, but we work out for an hour, not 20 minutes. I think if you are religious about it, it will definitely get you some results.

Re: 30 day Shred
I have done it in the past - it was a good work out, but I got very bored with it. I also had a lot to lose so I didn't see much a difference in my pant sizes/weight in that sense. I did feel a definitel increase in my stamina so I know it was working...
ETA: I think its better for those looking to tone up

Re: 30 day Shred
I didn't last more than a week of just doing that. If I don't get a chance to work out as often as I wanted, I'll pop this in and do 1-2 levels.
