30 day shred...how much did you lose?
I am thinking of starting the 30 day shred. I need to lose 20 lbs. The DVD says lose up to 20 in 30 days but I'm like "yeah right." For those who have done it (and that alone)- how much did you lose? Did your body change? I know it's only 20 min but I find it very difficult. If you all so big results It will get me motivated to give it a try....

Re: 30 day shred...how much did you lose?
Doing ONLY the 30 day shred for exercise only 3-4 days a week but also counting calories and maintaining a calorie deficit... I lost 25 pounds in 6 months.
It transformed my body though, it defined my arms and toned my stomach.
Then I gained 15-20 pounds back later when I stopped working out and counting calories and now my arms are so flabby and the biggest they have ever been. I think because they got really muscular and then it all turned to fat.
I have been working out 5-7 days a week every single day for the past 3 months now, and I see no difference in my arms or weight although my stomach is getting smaller and so are my lower calves. Still have these monster thighs I can't get rid of though or the jiggly arm sag.

Re: 30 day shred...how much did you lose?
Just to add: It is a great workout, one of my favorites and I've tried A LOT of workout dvds. At least 45.
But also, I think 20 pounds in 30 days is not realistic.
I lose weight VERY slowly. too slow in fact. So i am not a good example, but I have been working out 25-90 minutes 5 days a week solid for 3 months and count calories and eat mostly fruits and veggies and I have only been able to maintain a lose of 6-7 pounds. My weight keeps fluctuating up and then goes back down and then goes back up. I am within my healthy weight range according to the bmi chart though but i am at the very top and I want to be on the very bottom.
I started with about 28 pounds to lose, but I can't get the last 20 pounds off with all the exercise and eating changes. it takes a lot of work, patience and TIME.
so if you want a good dvd video to help you get toned and in shape, you should do it.
if you are looking for a quick fix, there isn't one.

Re: 30 day shred...how much did you lose?
I lost no weight, but did lose an inch or two off my hips & stomach. I believe their "20 lbs in 30 days" claim is based on doing her nutrition plan along with the workouts, and I just did the workout.
But it is a good total-body workout & will definitely improve your fitness. I still do it here & there when I want to work out but don't have a lot of time.

Re: 30 day shred...how much did you lose?
i lost 30lbs over a course of 5 months or so, but i changed how i ate in a huge way, in addition to this dvd. i don't think any form of exercise will make you lose a significant amount of weight, if you are not dieting in conjunction. this workout definitely helped in my weight loss, toned and changed my body for sure. i loved it, still do 2 years later as i "maintain" that weight loss. i work out 5-6 days a week and i usually do the dvd 3 or 4 days and the other 2-3 days, i have an elliptical at home, so i do 45min on that with crunches. the dvd is 25min about start to finish, which i love because it motivates me in that, even if i'm feeling lazy, i just tell myself "its 25 minutes of your day - just do it and get it over with quick and feel good about yourself, instead of feeling guilty/bad for skipping it." anyone can fit 25min into their day.

Re: 30 day shred...how much did you lose?
I didn't do the video 30 days in a row - to me that is too repetitive and boring.
I incorporated it into other exercise/diet changes. I love this video, by far my fav but I don't think I can do any 1 thing 30 days in a row KWIM.
I think this video is fantastic for toning - you will see a huge difference after doing it only a few times, the first time I died with the lunges and squats but they get easier.
I think you should also do some aerobic activity - walking, running, cross trainer, etc. in addition to this video. While your heart rate is up and you do burn a lot of calories, I think the mix will help you loose weight.
I lost 10 pounds in 3 months but my clothes feel totally different and my body looks like I lost a lot more. I am down a full pants size and actually have muscles in my legs!
I also agree, 20 pounds in 30 days is not realistic or healthy.
