3:00 am
do you believe that this is the "witching hour"?
i'm asking because more often than not, i wake up in the middle of the night feeling as though something just woke me up, and it is always around 3am
it happened last night- i woke up startled and was afraid to look at the clock- sure enough it was 3:01am
[insert scaredy-cat icon here]!!

I heard that in the Emily rose movie and my scaredy cat behind woke up every freaking day at 3am. The power of suggestion!

I tend to wake up somewhere between 3:00 - 3:30 most nights. Sometimes I feel like it's something that woke me, other times, it's DH's snoring

i dont want to say anything too scary, but the night before last i woke up at 3am and saw something disturbing.....
alot of times things happen at 3am... (emily rose, amityville horror, stories by ppl ive met, etc)

In European folklore, the witching hour is the time when supernatural creatures such as witches, demons and ghosts are thought to be at their most powerful, and black magic at its most effective. This hour is typically midnight, and the term may now be used to refer to midnight, or any late hour, even without having the associated superstitious beliefs.
In neopaganism, it is sometimes used to refer solely to midnights occurring during a full moon, when a witch's power is supposedly at its greatest.
In the 2005 film The Exorcism of Emily Rose, the witching hour is referred to as occurring at 3 A.M., as opposed to midnight. In the film it is said that this is the hour each night when demons mock the Holy Trinity, and also that it is the opposite of three o'clock in the afternoon, the hour when Jesus Christ is traditionally believed to have died during the crucifixion.

WOW! I never thought about that before... my dog usually wakes me up around that time and you know what they say about animals and spirits and stuff like that. Oh great! Now I'm scared!!!

I know the feeling. Almost every day when I just happen to look at the clock on my phone it is always the same scary time. It also happens to be my birthday. Sometimes I wonder what it means, other times I just laugh it off.

My dog actually got up this morning at that time. I took her out to do her necessities...I didn't even think anything of it......Sometimes she wakes up like that and most of the time she sleeps through the night.......
But definitely I think animals can sense things that humans don't because we may not be so in tune at the moment....

This is weird, its been happening to me for a couple of months, but i ALWAYS wake up at 3:33am...
every time I happen to look at the clock its either 3:33am or pm-
i even say to myself before I look at the clock-watch-i bet its 3:33, and sure enough, it is!!!!
Does this mean something?? oo im scared now!

And...I usually wake up around 3:00 am every night as well. So weird!!
What time do all of you fall asleep? I usually go to sleep at 10:00. Maybe our bodies naturally wake 5 hours after falling asleep? I dunno...it was a thought!

glad i am not the only one! i was starting to think i should check into the looney bin
i go to bed at different times- earliest would be 11pm, but sometimes i'm up until as late as 2am

It's also known as the early evening hours of anywhere between 5 - 7pm when newborns tend to get super cranky. At least that's what moms of newborns know it as!
