A story about my mom.....and the accident she was in
OMG, okay, so my mom is on vacation with my 18yo sister and my sister's friend in Aruba. I have been in touch via email and phone (a little) and so far they were having a GREAT time. I was so happy b/c my mom NEVER relaxes, and now she was....until this.
I get an email from her last night and in it she says "Well surprised the girls and rented a car. Got into an accident on the way to the restaurant. We are all okay. Not my fault, I was just the innocent bystander."
I was like omg   ARE YOU KIDDING!!! She called me this morning and explained to me that she was at a yeild sign COMPLETLY STOPPED and a mini-van taxi hit a small SUV, the SUV spun around and slammed into the drivers side of the small little HYUNDAI that my mom was driving!! She said she has ONE scratch on her from my sister pulling her away from the door and THAT'S IT !
We didn't talk for long, she just wanted to tell me she was okay. She then emailed me more to the story....
"The "Polis" came and of course the highlight was the looks of one of them. They were asking what happened to the driver of the white car and when I said that was me they said no, who was driving. They could not believe I was not hurt."
I seriously am in complete shock right now and just want to hug my mom. My step-grandmother passed away 2 weeks ago, and I don't even want to think about what "could have been"
Like my mom wrote in the latest email.... "My guardian angel put a shield around me, I truly am convinced."
I can't wait to see my mom on Saturday when she gets home. And my sister and her friend too! Thank God for small miracles!!

Sounds like quite a miracle. Is she taking pictures of her rental? Glad to hear that she is fine.

In one of the emails she did say that while waiting for the cops she was taking pics. My sister and her friend thought she was CRAZY, but then she told them "your sister wanted me to take pics of our vacation!" and apparently they were hysterical laughing when she said that!
