We had RUSH as one of our boy names for DS....
We wound up naming him Caden but out of all the names we were throwing around the only other one that would have fit him was RUSH...
I also love the name THAYER but I couldnt get DH on board for that one..

I love the name Sasha for a girl, but my parents are eastern european and my dad's name is Alex which in russian is essentially sasha....

DH's grandmother is from Russia. He likes a lot of the Russian names including Sasha (for a boy). I don't like it for a boy at all.
ETA: I like last names as first names.

I agree. That was pretty rude.
I don't know anyone with that name, but I always thought it was pronounced Ine-sley. Either way, I think it's pretty.

Yeah and I think Ainsley to anus is a REAL stretch.
I actually love the name Ainsley as well it's so feminine.

ITA. That is how I have heard it pronounced. There are variations of it spelling-wise, but I think they are all pronounced the same.
And I think to slam someone else's name choice, whether they are using it or not, is pretty uncalled for.

I really dont particularly like non-traditional names - mostly because we have a Hispanic last name and most of those names dont sound good with our last name
I do however LOVE the name Charlie for a girl
