I love, love, love the name Ainsley for a girl but DH does not.
AINsley like the AIN in "anus"? Ooouch. That poor little one...
ouch, why do you say that when someone says they love a name, kinda mean, no?
I agree. That was pretty rude.
I don't know anyone with that name, but I always thought it was pronounced Ine-sley. Either way, I think it's pretty.
I happen to like the name. There is also another poster on here who named her baby Ainsley..I don't see what it has to do with anus

Thanks for the info.
Let's let this die already. I publicly apologized, so let's move on now.
I am a total lurker on this board and don't even "belong" here but I think it is funny that you think saying "sorry for being HONEST" is an apology

Re: Post your favorite non-traditional baby names
I really love traditional names that don't sound traditional,
I can usually mainly only think of girls names....however they are usually Welsh for some reason. I seem to like Welsh names Eleri Seren (means Star) Mali Cerys/Carys Bethan Bethany Freya Myfanwy (dunno why, it looks horrible but I really like it, its pronounced Muh-fan-whee) Ffion Mhairi (Mah-ree - think its Irish)
If I have a girl next we will probably call her Imogen or Bliss, dunno yet something ye olde englishy
Boys names, no clue. My choices were Elijah (Eli), Lev, mostly biblical
The name Ainsley always reminds me of Ainsley Harriott (do you know who he is??)

Riley Taylor Casey (oh well named my dog that already ) McKenzie Madison
Someone I know named her DD Ashlyne which I thought was diff and cute...
My next door neighbor growing up was Chase but back then it was very unusual

Re: Post your favorite non-traditional baby names
If I have a boy I am naming him Adriano, alot pf people say its unusual, its not for me because I'm Brazilian and thats a very common name there. All the name is "Adrian" with an "o" at the end. I don't see the big deal but people are horrified when I tell them...lol XOXOXO BOTB

Re: Post your favorite non-traditional baby names
My son's name is Derek, even though its becoming more and more popular.
I also love Chase. I think this might be the name we choose if this little one is a boy. Even though my husband likes it, he said he is going to call the baby Chaz?!?!? He's a weirdo sometimes!

I really dont particularly like non-traditional names - mostly because we have a Hispanic last name and most of those names dont sound good with our last name
I do however LOVE the name Charlie for a girl
TOO funny- that is my DH first choice too! But I had a horrible student with that name last year and it soured me.

I love Delilah, DH is not having it.
My niece is named Delilah. My other niece is named Ruby. Both very pretty. I also love Leah, but it isn't non-traditional by any means.

Re: Post your favorite non-traditional baby names
I LOVE the name Lorelei but since my name is Laura it would be too similar
Also, DH and I decided that IF we have a girl it is DEFINITELY Samantha since we both love it and DH is Sammy - he wants to call a girl Sammy LOL
However, speaking of Leah, my Hebrew name is Golda Leah (pronounced Laya- like the princess in star wars LOL)

DD is Mattea and I never heard anyone else with the same name....
sorry, im just lurking (I love name threads!)
an elementary school friend had a sister named Mattia and I love it!
Another name for a girl I like is Genevieve (jen-a-veve) but it would never go with my long arse italian last name
