a touching, sweet mommy story..
This is a story that touched my heart.
"a friend of a friend" went through so much in hopes of having a baby. after several m/c, was told that she and her hubby would probably never conceive a child (for medical/genetic reasons). They tried many options, and more and more heartache. i think another m/c or two.
this mommy also lost both parents in her teen years, so she has very little family around..
a few years into the heartache, they recently adopted a beautiful baby boy. She recently brought him home and is now adjusting to life as a mommy. 
she is also adjusting to the news that
SHE's PREGNANT !
It's a true miracle and a blessing beyond blessings that she is pregnant. She's scared beyond words, but so many of us are praying for this miracle baby..
and the most amazing thing is,
is that this baby was conceived while they were in Russia to pick up their son.
So God willing, all goes well, they will have two babies, both "from Russia" and two special stories to tell many years from now...

It makes me think of everyone who told my friend while she was adopting, "Great, now you'll get pregnant!" Their theory? She need to "relax" about having a baby & she'd get pregnant.
Didn't happen as she has the two-fold problem of getting pregnant & staying pregnant.
While I love this story, it just struck a nerve in me. I know it bothered her to no end that people thought she was adopting to get pregnant.
Your friend is truly blessed.

A great story for above poster.
To this poster I was in that same boat when we adopted our son. After we brought our newborn home alot of family replied. "Oh you'll probably get pregnant now" My reply "Nooo I don't think I will be getting pregnanat"
We now have 2 beautiful boys. Both adopted as newborns domestically.
Yes domestic adoptions do happen.
