35 weeks...measuring small :(
Just got back from the doc and he wants to do a sono next week because he said the baby is measuring a little small. This makes me nervous! Everything has been fine this whole pregnancy though. What could it mean (besides her just being small...duh)?

Re: 35 weeks...measuring small :(
If it makes you feel any better, if they determined the size by the sonogram machine, I have always heard that they can be off by + or - 2 lbs.
(I know I always hear of stories were a baby is anticipated to be big, and then comes out 2 pounds lighter)
good thoughts your way!

Re: 35 weeks...measuring small :(
thank you! the size was determined by him just using the measuring tape so he did say it could just be the position the baby was in, but still makes me worry a little!

Luke measured small and was 8lbs. Nina measured big and was said to be around 8lbs 3oz and weighed 6lbs 9oz.
She will be just fine

I doubt you have anything to worry about. All of your tests have been normal. Aside from the fact all of these measurements and just that, measurements and often wrong.

Re: 35 weeks...measuring small :(
At 36.5 weeks my LO was measuring 4lbs 15oz. So i have to go for growth sono and non stress tests once a week until i deliver but the dr isnt worried bc everything else has been great so far....its just annoying to have extra appts bc my lil guy may be a peanut.
My friend is a sono tech and says those measurements r wrong the majority of the time.
