3dt vs. 5dt?
Which is better? Did anyone get a BFP from a Day 3 transfer?
Long story short, I had a 3DT last week and am driving myself crazy because my old RE implied that a 5DT was better. I am just trying to feel hopeful since I had a failed IVF cycle last year.

Re: 3dt vs. 5dt?
I don't believe that one is better than the other, per se. The decision is really one that is, or should be, made based upon the development of the embryos at the time.
In my case, only 2 of my eggs fertilized (with ICSI). My RE didn't want to risk waiting until day 5, and I am very thankful for that. I had a day 3 transfer of 2, one implanted, and my due date is this week
As an aside, there is a strong belief that embryos may do better in their natural environment, as opposed to a lab. That's a huge reason why places like Cornell do co-culture.
Long story short: try to keep yourself occupied, think positive thoughts, and hope that this is it! Loads of sticky dust to you!!!!

Re: 3dt vs. 5dt?
I had a successful 3dt and now have a 14month old DD! I had 2 unsuccessful 5dfets so before we started the next cycle we decided to try 3dt and it worked!!!! Good luck and try to remain positive because 3dt can and DO work

Re: 3dt vs. 5dt?
I had triplets from a 3dt. I miscarried around 8wks but for other issues unrelated to the day I transferred. A 5dt tends to be better bc you know more about the embryos at that point but a 3dt is fine and sometimes you don't have a choice. When i did a 3dt it was my only option because of the number of embryos I had.

3dt vs. 5dt?
I've had both. I got my first Bfp off a 5d. As Pennycat said they know more about the embryo on day 5 oppose to day 3, but either way people have had success with both. Good luck
