3rd trimester ladies: baby's movement
Is anyone elses DC very quiet?
Mine DS moves sporadically (like this the entire pregnancy)but never has moments where he is constantly moving. I know my OB said that everyone's baby goes to their own tune.

i agree with the Dr - every baby is different!
Mine is going nuts in there - i see my belly morph - not just bumps here and there, but full belly bulging- about 10-15+ times a day

Re: 3rd trimester ladies: baby's movement
Sporadic here too - Tuesday the baby was goin' all day long....but yesterday quiet as can be.
I tend to have many more quiet days - than anything else.
But with that being said every night - when I finally kick my feet up..... there is a bit of action.... for 15 minutes or so.
Every baby is different...
I have not had any bulging yet.... well once - I had a left sided lop sided belly for about 10 minutes.... then it went right back to normal.
Maybe this happens a bit further into our pregnancy.... we still have some weeks to get through and the baby is only getting bigger now

Re: 3rd trimester ladies: baby's movement
I am 32 weeks and this is the most movement I have had. I have an anterior placenta and didn't feel much. I can see my belly move now. I get alot when I am laying down and ready to fall asleep. I work nights and have insomnia and I feel kicks right when I am starting to get drowsy!

Re: 3rd trimester ladies: baby's movement
I went to bed around 11 last night, DH is usually up til 12. He woke me up with maniacal laughter shortly after he got into bed because he put his hands on my belly and he said it felt like baby was doing jumping jacks in there . He doesn't understand how I can sleep through it! I told him I'm so used to it - this baby has been SO ACTIVE since about 21wks.
I was talking to a client the other day - she's 3 wks ahead of me. She said that she barely feels her little guy at all! He's been totally calm & mellow in her belly since the beginning.
Every baby is totally different

It will get more so the further along you get. Apparently movement peaks at 32-34 weeks and then slows down as they run out of room.
My guy is pretty chilled in general - throughout most of the pregnancy he's checked in most days around 10:30am and then again in the evening. He's been more active lately and we can see him moving around. One day last week I was kicked/nudged etc ALL DAY long and while it's nice to have the constant reassurance of movement, I was pretty sore and exhausted by the end of the day.
You'll get to see it soon!

Re: 3rd trimester ladies: baby's movement
I feel my baby move every day, but not often and not hard.
I know he's there, but he goes through really long periods of not moving.
I feel a kick or a few nudges throughout the day, but most of the time he's quiet...until about 9:00 p.m. when I'm sitting on the couch resting.
My MIL says he's lazy, which I did not appreciate. I said he's very content and happy just where he is.
Since I do feel him every day, I'm not to worried. I actually appreciate that he's calm, and I hope he's a mellow baby after he's born too.

Re: 3rd trimester ladies: baby's movement
My baby has some very active days and some super quiet days. I'm 36 weeks so I think she is running out of room but she still gets some big kicks in there every once in awhile. I definitely notice a decrease in movement these days but if I ever get nervous I just really try to pay attention to her for awhile and I will feel some subtle movement. plus I thnk I sleep through alot of it because sometimes I feel like my dreams are FULL of baby movement!

Re: 3rd trimester ladies: baby's movement
is still so active, I wonder when she sleeps! Even at the dr. today the dr. was listening to the heartbeat and commented a few times on how active she is.
But I wouldn't worry about it... when I told my mom how extremely active my is she said I was the total opposite when she was pregnant with me. She always used to ask the Dr. to make sure I had a heartbeat b/c she never felt me in there! I ended up also being an extremely easy going baby so you could get lucky with that!

Re: 3rd trimester ladies: baby's movement
It is sporadic during the day, more active during certain times than others. He has never been active all day. Sometimes there are "busier" days than others.

Re: 3rd trimester ladies: baby's movement
I have an anterior placenta so I barely feel move. I'm 28 weeks and mainly during the day she's very quiet, sometimes at night when I'm getting ready to go to bed I feel her but very lightly.

Re: 3rd trimester ladies: baby's movement
Some days is pretty quite and other days, she moves all day long. Dr told me that laying down, the baby tends to move more and poking around your belly a little bit might get a reaction as well, which for it works. Yesterday she wasn't very active but today she is all over my belly. I agree that every baby is different.

Re: 3rd trimester ladies: baby's movement
It's def. moving and it's painful to be honest, it's kicks are stronger and more pokes that feel like it's coming through the skin!

Re: 3rd trimester ladies: baby's movement
My used to have ADD -- she moved ALL THE TIME and I would watch my belly move with these huge movements like waves.
Lately though, I feel movement but I don't see anything -- she's definately toned it down.
Hopefully this means she's getting ready to come out!!
