4 months old with a stuffy nose

DS has had a little bit of a stuffy nose for the past few days, is sneezing a lot, and has a dry cough, which i just attributed to extra drool and teething. i am using the aspirator and i am going to get the little noses drops, but should i be concerned that he is getting sick?

He could be getting a cold....or it could be the dry heat in the house...I've always found DS can be stuffy in the winterChat Icon

awww maybe he's getting a little cold. Also - do you use the Little Noses Saline Drops. Its not medicated so you can use as much as you want. It helps loosen up everything stuck in the nose so its easier to get everything o ut with the aspirator

Saline drops work well. It could be alittle cold- I also use the Johnsons cold relief bath- it works good too.

DS had a cold at 6 weeks old, I put saline drops in each nostril then would suck those boogers out with the aspirator. I also propped up the bassinett (at the time) mattress on a slight angle to let him breathe better sleeping. His cold was gone in a couple of days. At the time, the dr. couldn't give him anything bc he was so young.

Little Noses saline drops are WONDERFUL!!! I feel like in the winter DS gets more "stuffy" so we bought a humidifier for his room and use the saline drops when needed.

I would just keep doing what you're doing and definitely get a cool mist humidifier. It works wonders on DS and makes him a whole lot more comfortable at night!

My only suggestion would be to get a humidifier. Feel better, Luca! Chat Icon
