40th Birthday Party question
The wife of one of my good friends is throwing him a surprise 40th Birthday Party at a catering hall.
I'm unable to attend, but would you still send a gift? And if so, what?

I wouldn't do this unless you know the man is into spas and pampering himself...I know some men do this, but I personally don't know any that go to spas unless they are dragged by their women! I suggest a bottle of liquor or a GC to a restaurant he likes.

This exactly. My DH wouldn't be caught dead at a spa.  Just buy a bottle of wine or liquor. Keep it simple.
