Without a doubt
Teller's in Islip.
It was the best dining experience I have ever had, I want to go back sooooo bad! It's kind of expensive though so be prepared.

ruth chris on old country road is really good.
there's also uncle jack's on bell blvd.
unfortunately, i don't have any other LI recommendations, all of my faves are in NYC

Ruth Cris on old country rd and Franks on jericho turnpike--YUM YUM YUM
Peter Lugas in great neck is good too with their cream spinach
Majors-hmmm I got really sick on and I ate at 2 different locations woodbury and I think its east meadow- not sure

Burton and Doyle's is very good, but IMO, Luger's is the best. Nicer atmosphere at Burton's. North Shore is delicious, but the crowd is soooo old.

I totally think that Jimmy Hays in Island Park is MUCH better than Peter Lugers!
Also, a lot smaller and more intimate!
We were going to go last night to celebrate my new job, but then my tummy was hurting

OMG... i went there and had a horrible experience. I asked them for extra butter sauce... and got none. Steak was also overcooked.
And I LOVE Ruth Chris. Ive been to a few of them as well (Chicago, DC, San Francisco). But the one in Long Island IMO is a little lacking.
