Anybody ever go to Burton & Doyles or North Shore Steakhouse.....both are in Great Neck/Manhasset area?
I loved Burton & Doyle! It was soo good and the atmosphere/decor is really nice. We loved it and it is definately one of our favorites.

I am not the best person to judge steakhouses (mainly because I hate steak  )
But I went to Rothman's with my DH for his company/department holiday party last year, and I have to say the food / service/ etc was phenominal
I have gone to Ruth Chris' in the past (the location in Manhattan as well as the one in Westchester) and they are usually good
One of my best g'friends swears by Peter Lugers, and she is a steakhouse officianado .. BUT she says that nothing compares to the original Lugers (in Brooklyn I think?) .. she claims the LI location is good but to her not quite "as good"

Since I live right by there, I have to say Rothmann's in East Norwich is hands down one of the top steak places!!
Second to that is the new Sagamore Steakhouse on Jericho Tpke in Syosset. We had an excellent experience there a few weeks ago. Just don't go to dinner on a Thursday night there (same for Rothmann's). They have a huge bar crowd of over 40 year old divorcees looking to hook up! Way too crowded to have a nice intimate dinner.

My favorite steakhouse on Long Island is Burton & Doyles...I like the ambiance and we have always had great service..attentive but not over bearing.
I found Peter Luger's in Brooklyn to be much better then the one in great neck and the same for Ruth's Chris the one in the city is much better.
We have been wanting to try Teller's but haven't yet. I have to add Pace's & Rothman's to the must try list as well, I heard of them but forget about thinking of going there.

i heard blackwells in wading river is awesome too... a bit pricey though
Blackwell's is amazing. I had my sister's shower there. LOVE it!
I also like Morton's! YUM. I don't eat steak though. So for me it's all about the fish!
