This is not the update I was hoping for, but may be the 2nd and 3rd opinions will be better and this was only a sidestep.....always praying for your recovery..........

itsa chemo/radiation protocol.
The doc re-iterated how rare the location of my specific cancer is. Our protocol is chemo and radation (although way more aggresive than we first thought) and we will just have to see.
There are a few cases of this having a positive outcome (althoug they havent been tracked for very long and the cases were not of people in my age range) so that is what we are using to cling to hope. 
I am sure that many have already told you, and I am sure you already knew, but please continue to get more opinions. Also try to find a local cancer support & resource group if you have not already. My mother & I learned so much before she went for her treatments that I believe saved her life. Survivors are not only inspirational, but they are also a tremendous source of information as well -especially in handling your doctors & knowing what to believe and what to question from them.
I am always thinking & for you & your family. Please feel free to FM if you need anything.

I see many people are saying to go for a 2nd&3rd opinion...PLEASE dont give up...
I know its a different type of cancer but about 7 yrs ago my dad was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer that was said to be inoperable.
He was diagnosed by a "world-renowned specialist".
Needless to say, when we got that news I felt like i was punched in the stomach...hopeless,helpless like my world was coming down around me.
Even tho it was an excellent dr who gave him the prognosis, we went for more opinions....and thank God we did, because after surgery and chemoembolization treatment he is here today and is feeling great.
You are in my thoughts & prayers!

we will probably be starting in about 2 weeks. I have a few tests I have to do first, as well as I want to go to two other places for second and third opionions adn then we will start the rockin' and the rollin'
