Here are a few books I read this year:
Skipping a Beat by Sarah Pekkanen - hated it, hated the writing and it's stopping me from reading any of her other books even though she is a popular author
The Admissions by Meg Mitchell Moore - loved it
The Friends We Keep by Susan Mallery - eh - I got through it, it was okay, another popular author who I would not read again
Big Little Lies and The Husbands Secret by Liane Moriarty - loved both couldn't put them down - can't wait for her next book
Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah - loved it. Started to read the Fly Away sequel and couldn't get past chapter 2.
The Good Girl and Pretty Baby by Mary Kubica - loved both, couldn't put them down
The Nightingale by Kristine Hannah - loved it
The Silent Sister by Diane Chamberlain - liked it a lot
The Things That Keep us Here and The Good Goodbye, both by Carla Buckley - loved both, couldn't put them down, although The Things that Keep us Here was beyond frightening
The Forgotten Girl and Somebody I Used to Know by David Bell - liked both a lot
The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins - loved
That Night by Chevy Stevens - it was okay - I really liked Still Missing which was much better
A Girls Guide to Moving On by Debbie Macomber - couldn't get past chapter 3
Right now I am reading Under the Influence by Joyce Maynard - it's a quick read, I'm enjoying it but still waiting for something to actually happen

So many books, so little time...  I will be going through the entire series, however, now that I've started it.

i loveddd the girl on the train!! I read it in two days! i googled books similar to it and read The Good Girl by Mary Kubica which was good too. I just started Pretty Baby by her as well.

I hear they are making it a movie. Can't wait, but it wont' compare to the book I am sure.

I just finished a new book that came out, "The Two Family House" - LOVED it, a great family saga.
I started "The Daughter" and was so bored I finally just stopped reading it after chapter 3.
Today I started Nora Roberts "The Witness" and so far I like it - read 200 pages in a day (ibook pages).

I'm reading The Passage - I have about 150 pages left. It is a LONG book. I wish I was able to get through it quicker, but I only have a few minutes before bed each night to read.

pretty baby was ok. the good girl was much better!

I recently finished "The Opposite of Me" by Sarah Pekkanen. It was ok - a quick, light read that held my attention, but nothing special.
I also recently read "Summer Secrets" by Jane Green. This was a decent read. Again, not life-changing, but good. I thought it was better than some of Jane Green's other recent books, which I've found disappointing compared to her earlier work.
Just finished "The Divorce Party" by Laura Dave. Not a page turner, but interesting and well-written. I generally like her books as slightly more literary "chick lit."
Starting "The Year We Turned Forty." Just downloaded it!
