paying bills
Do you pay them right as you get them, or do you wait until closer to the due date?

I have all my bills taken out from my checking account automatically the day it's due. THis way I'm never let on a payment.

I like to pay them right away, DH likes to wait until they're due- he wants to hold on to the money for as long as he can (make a little interest for us, though, it is not a lot).

I usually wait until I have a couple to pay, and then I pay them all. I hate to go to the post office for just one or two things.

I either pay them automatically online a few days before they are due, or I have them electronically taken out of my bank account. I hate having bills lying all around the place.

Most of our bills I get via e-mail, instead of paper bills, and they automatically come out of our checking account.

I have all of my bills set up so that I can pay them all on the same day of the month. I only get paid once a month, so I pay every, single bill we get on the first of the month. Then I don't have to worry about any of them until the next month.
ETA: I pay everything online.

Some are automatic payments through online banking that are made on a specific day of every month (mtge, vehicle payments.)
But all others we wait. Why be in a rush to give someone or a company your money!? We'd rather collect a little interest then let someone else collect interest on it.

some of the smaller bills, i pay as soon as they come in. the larger bils, i wait until the due date is closer to pay them

I pay bills 2x a months when DH gets paid. The ones that are due around that time I mail immediately. If there are some that are due later, then I will write them out and put a stamp on them, then write on the outside of the envelope the day they are due. When the date gets close I pop them in the mail.

I pay the bills with every pay check. It isn't right away, but it isn't the day before the due date.

Almost all our bills are on auto pay but if its not we pay it as soon as it comes in. If we wait we'll just forget to do it.

Same exact thing here..I get paid once a month...so as soon as my money is deposited into my account I pay them all onlinel.
