How much did you spend on your wedding (POLL)Are you still paying it off?

We spent close 60,000 and we got back 45,000. Was it worth it yes. I was lucky that my DH was a saver before we got married so we werent in any debt afterward. However my friend had to wait 5 years to have a baby because she put everything on a credit card. she still paying it off. She wishes she did things differently

We spent around 54, 000 and made back 26,000. it was worth it, and its been paid off since the wedding, no debt from it. thank god! But you know there are a ton of things I want to do to the house that I kinda wish I didnt spend so much. but it brings a smile to my face everytime I hear some one mention how great of a time they had at my wedding. But you dont realize how much you are spending either, thats the scary part!!!! then when its on paper youre like what the------

We paid everything in cash except the honeymoon and rings we charged on the card. After we got back from the honeymoon we paid the card in full with the gift $.

We did not nearly get back what was put into the wedding.. but, it was worth it... I mean, looking back it is silly to waste the money, but, I'll never have a "what if" I had the big wedding, etc. I loved every second of it..

how many people did u have at the wedding? we had 250. My DH's parents gave us a generous gift which helped us alot too

I voted. We spent an absurb amount of money on our wedding, however, we paid everything in cash. I was not willing to have the type of wedding we had without it being paid in cash. It was just important to us that we started our new life together debt free.

We didn't pay anything because my parents payed for the wedding. We made about 30,000.

My Mom paid for a lot of it, the rest we paid in Cash. We paid about $35K including honeymoon, we got back $12K , but we went into it thinking we would get nothing, so it was fine, we have no regrets except for wishing my mom didnt have to have paid so much out.

Still paying it off. We are in waaaay too much credit card debt and really focusing on paying everything off this year.

We budgeted really well, but didn't stick to the post wedding pay off plan. We had a few wrenches thrown in to our budgeting this year.

With everything including the HM, the wedding cost about $16,000. Our inlaws helped us with most of it.

after everything it was about $25k. My parents paid for almost all of that. We got about $20k.

and the money we got in gifts helped with the down payment on our co-op, which will hopefully also help us to get a house

it was all paid for before the wedding-DH would have NEVER gone for the charging thing. He was horrified by how much we spent to begin with. We spent ALOT on our honeymoon too-almost enough to have another small weddding.

We paid for everything before the wedding also. Thank God, cuz we only got about $8,000 and we would have started of with a lot of debt.

My parents paid for the receptin- about $18,000

My grandparents paid for the band- about $3,000

We paid for everything else, about $13,000 (I bartened the summer before thw wedding and made almost all the money that we needed to pay for our part of the wedding) so we had no debt when the wedding was over

We made about $30,000, we had 210 guests

Wedding, HM, rings, etc was about 48K I think. We paid for everything in cash except upgrading our HM flights and a few other things so we have about 10K on a 0% card which we would have more than paid off already except we paid off my car (26K) and my student loan (53K) because both had interest.
We have 150 guests and make 16K but it was totally worth every penny to us. We never expected to make close to what we spent.

We spent about 55K - My parents put in 25K, ILs gave us 15K and I put in the rest. Everything was paid in cash.

We had a wedding fund and saved the $ we needed for the wedding. We charged the airfare for our honeymoon but that's all. We went into the wedding day debt free.

We spent about $20,000 (my parents paid for the dress, hair, and makeup) and DH's dad paid for the honeymoon. We had budgeted $25,000 (that's what we saved in the wedding fund) so we paid e/t cash.

We were very lucky.

DH parents paid for the catering (which was about 14,000)

and my parents paid for all the other stuff (Photo, Limo, Shuttle, Rehersal dinner, favors, centerpieces)

In the end, we probably only laid out about 5,000 with deposits and little stuff.

Everything is paid for, over and done with

We paid for almost everything in cash. A charged a few things here and there towards the end but everything was paid off completely when we got back from our HM. We spent around $36k. My mom contributed toward the HM and my gown.
