my dh only does it if i ask him to hes not the most expresive person his family doesnt show emotions what so ever I have gotten him to show more with this pregnancy then with our first.

Yes, well lately he's been telling them to "stay in there" (since my dr. appts indicated possible preterm labor). And some times he says funny things to them, or just when he kisses them or tells them he loves them makes my heart melt!!!

Nicole my DH is just like yours. He seems really excited about the baby, but he'll only touch it if I put his hand there and talk to it - not really!!. Once in a blue moon he'll kiss my belly when he leaves for work.
I'm in the same boat.

When mine first started talking to the baby, it wasn't really loving, more like pleas to leave me alone
the first time, we were on the express bus home from work and I was throwing up in a gap bag, dh put his hand on my stomach and said you have to leave my wife alone, she needs a break
now he sings a lot of christmas carols to my belly, he says that he wants the baby to know his voice when it comes out and he won't know what to do or say to it, so he is going to sing jingle bells

Since I haven't popped yet DH doesn't really look at my belly that much to talk to it. He did say something recently, though.
To be quite honest, I haven't talked to my belly enough during this pregnancy.
I feel kind of silly right now.

every night before we go to sleep DH puts his head on my belly and talks to the baby...we also play classical music for the baby at night too...its like family bonding time

yep, all the time. But he didn't start until I had a noticeable belly. It's really funny when he does.
