Got a ticket!
for being on the cell phone!
I was waiting for the light, FH called to asked me how to cook rice 
argh!!! $90 freaking bux!

That SUX!!!!!!!! 90 bucks! That's a lot! My sister once had a cop pull up next to her and give her the "shame,shame on you" wave of the finger I'm sorry that happened.

it was on Maple, off Kissena Blvd.
the woman cop was just standing there catching people who's on the phone! She got 2 more people after me!
Just the ONE day I forgot my headset at home .. grrr...

i would research the law and if it states "cell phones are not to be used while operating a motor vehicle or while vehicle is in motion", then by all means fight it.

Operating a motor vehicles means ignition on (same law applies to DWIs - once you've turned the ignition on)
BTW there is nothing wrong with calling someone to ask how to cook rice.

I would tell DH he has to pay the ticket
Sorry that happened...my dad got a ticket too...and still never bought a earpiece. Everytime he passes a cop he just puts the phone down even if your talking to him.

FH was very sorry, but it wasn't his fault really... just very bad luck!!
the thing was.. the cop woman was staring at me and approaching my car, I was still on the phone, it didn't even register in my head that was the reason why she was coming over.
I was just like "why is she starring at me for?"

i remember when NY changed law handsfree driving...
someone did fight it, i forgot the result but it received some media attention.
you should fight it as the vechicle was not in motion.

Well, outside of the fine, dont worry....it dosent mean anything in the insurance world.
Its not considered a moving violation so they dont care or look at it.
