I was also going to tell you about CCFA. My Mom has had Crohn's Disease for about the past 17 years. I have to tell you, it is difficult at times, but it can be very managable. Please FM me if you have any questions -- I can hopefully answer some of your concerns or at least let you know some about my mom's experiences.

I have Crohns and have had it for about 22 years. It canbe very manageable when handled the right way. Sorry you are suffering with stomach issues. Please let me know if you want to chat about it. I have been through the ups and downs and can relate.
Please know that you can have a perfectly productive and happy life with the disease. I do..it doesn't slow me down one bit and I am no longer on any medication.
Get your tests done and let us know how it goes.

My sister's bf has it. He has had it for years and he definately has his ups & downs. He is on medicine and has to follow a pretty strict diet or it flares up. But it is definately manageable. Good luck!
Also there have been a couple of articles in Newsday lately about it, might want to do a google search.

They thought I had it too. Turns out it is IBS. It ***** but it is much easier to deal with. Thoughts and prayers coming your way.

My Doc thought I had it. I went for all different tests. I have had IBS all my life but a few months ago it got a lot worse.
Turns out I do not have it. But I got myself all worried that I did. So my advise would be don't fret about it untill you know for sure, and if you do end up having it dont worry so many people have it and it is a manageable problem.

Robyn, hang in there until you get a definite diagnosis from your doctor ..
In the meantime, as so many other ladies have shared -- Crohn's is something that you CAN manage and live with fairly well .. My brother has had Crohn's since he was 16 yrs old, and he actually has a severe case of it (which I won't get into here because his symptoms etc are not common of a moderate case of the disease). However my brother is an overachiever to the max - put himself through med school, is married with a son, and lives the most active, busy, hectic life of anyone I know.. Honestly if you did not know he had Crohn's you'd never suspect he had it at all --
I guess my point in telling you that is that please do not feel as though you are any less 'strong' or not nearly as 'invincible' as you already are if you DO wind up being diagnosed with this - you will be OK!!
