It made us the laughing stock of the entire world. I would say that it had quite an "effect".
UMM AND NOW EVERYONE HATES US... Id rather be laughed at then hated especially with countries like North Korea people who can do things!
well, I would rather feel safe and have strong national security than be "liked" by other countries. its not a populatiry contest.
Im not saying it like that. I don't play popularity contests. Im not in 10th grade. What I ment was... I don't want another Sept 11th to happen by another country who hates us.

You're right. Clinton lied under oath (about a blow job)
Bush didn't lie under oath because he refused to be questioned under oath (when he was being questioned during the 9-11 commission - which to me is a much more important issue to the country then someone's sex life)
IMO - that says a lot.
BUT - I agree - we should just all probably agree to disagree about this - no minds will be changed.
And either way, right now - seems to me we are in a lot of trouble.

Congress voted OK on the war. many claim that it was Clinton's fault for the bad intell on Iraq b/c he cut so much of the funding for it.

People complaining about the oil prices is NOT the only reason that the President would enter war. Oil is a dire necessity, not only to the people’s “convenience”, but to our safety. How do you expect the military to run and defend our great nation without oil? What is going to run our ships, our planes, our tanks?? Yes, the US has an interest in going to Iraq. A vested interest is what drives each and everyone of us, every continent, every country. Don't fool yourself thinking that the US is the only country that thinks of themselves!!

I will say this.
1) extra marital affairs are a part of society, and have been since the dawn of marriage.
2) never before has a President been questioned about the state of his marriage or the dalliances he may or may not have been involved in, b/c people respected the fact that is was NOYB. unless he was Bopping La Femme Nikita...it had no bearing on the nation
3) Clinton lied about something...yes, it's true...but it was something NO ONE HAD A RIGHT TO EVEN ASK HIM IN THE FIRST PLACE. I think the WHOLE thing made a mockery of this country...and our bu11sh!t "morals and family values"
4) Bush's leadership skills, intelligence, and statesmanship (and all of the LACKING THEREOF) is a REAL problem for the credibility of this country.
