Utter nightmare.

We bought Dif and pulled off the top layer no problem.

The bottom layer is what stinks (the glue layer)

We Dif'ed that and scraped the ever loving crud out of the wall and were getting off teeny pieces. So we soaked down the wall with a sponge and that started to really work well. We were able to scrape bigger sections off at one time.

I could NEVER do an entire bedroom, LR or kitchen if it was papered though.
The Bathroom is small and it took 4 hrs. I couldnt imagine a normal sized room.

Tough work!

Here is a tip for future wall paper removal needs- I had a hideous border in my bathroom that would not budge with a scraper. I used my portable clothing steamer and it came right off- no chemicals needed(I was pregnant while doing this). I was amazed at how easily it came off.
