5th b-day party with a question
Bad Mommy here!!!!
I kept putting off my sons birthday party planning and now the place is booked up. I wanted to do a farm , hayride etc...I spoke with the owner who said that the farm area and rides are still open but I just cannot use the tables for eating because they are already reserved.
So my question is Should I still take the kids to the farm and than have pizza, cake, ice cream at another place near by? Pizza hut/ friendlys/
We are talking maybe 8 kids

I think thats would be great if it is within a reasonable distance....Just make sure the parents know to stick around ( At 5 they "should" I feel, but I don't know if everyone feels like I do )

Since its only 8 kids, can you do a picnic on the lawn at the farm? I know at my DD's 5th bday hardly any of the parents stayed. MIght be easy to coordinate as well and won't take as much time to go to another place.

I'm going to make you feel better.... You aren't alone in the Bad Mommy boat.....in fact I think I may be worse....
DD1's 5th birthday is also coming up and all three ideas I had got blown. So now we are doing a bunch of mini celebrations for her rather than 1 larger party. I feel terrible because the 5th birthday is supposed to be one of the 'milestone' birthdays and since we didnt celebrate birthdays 2, 3 and 4 (only dinner at home and cake with family) I feel like I definitely dropped the ball on this one. But in my defense...I was pregnant with her baby sister and now DD2 is 8 weeks old (tomorrow)...so I've been a bit frazzled.....
Hope your son has an awesome time and a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to him!!
