6 Month Old Not Interested in Eating?
I have been trying to feed DD since she was 4 months and I never get more than a couple of spoonfuls in. I have tried two different cereals and every stage one food plus two stage twos. I have tried different spoons. I have warmed the food up and left it cold.
Aside from trying table food I feel like I am out of options. Any suggestions?
BTW - my babysitter swears she feeds her just fine.

What does your babysitter say she does? Does she have a toy on her tray to occupy her? Is it that she won't let the spoon in her mouth?

She says she feeds her while she is watching Yo Gabba Gabba.... tried it... nothing.

Do you BF? Have you asked your DH to try feeding her? Maybe she expects to get milk from you. It could also be that she's just not ready for solid food yet. Have you asked your ped?

Maybe she is just not ready for solids? Our ped said to try and if she was not interested wait a few days and try again. Right now her main source of nutrition should be breastmilk and/or formula anyway so I wouldn't force the issue. DD took a long time to take any rice cereal so I just tried it sporadically until she showed an interest. Signs of an interest in foods are clear...opening mouth, leaning towards spoon, watching you eat etc.
Good luck!

Nope, stopped after 3 months. I mentioned at her last appointment and he didn't seem concerned. We go back next week for her 6 month appointment so I will ask then...
Thanks!

Yeah, I'm thinking she just might not be ready. I know every baby is different but DS took to eating like a champ. I guess I'm just a little surprised she is still not interested.
I've been trying every other day when she's not starving and in a good mood.
I shouldn't say she doesn't eat anything - she did grab my spoon once when I was eating ice cream and shoved it in her mouth!

Re: 6 Month Old Not Interested in Eating?
Cut down to 24oz a day of formula. That's the only thing that worked for my DD. She refused to eat so the ped. suggested I cut her formula. I thought she was crazy and cruel, but it worked.
