6 weeks old...need some sleeping advice
noah is not a great sleeper. he moans and grunts ALL night long. we have tried the woombie, the swaddle pod, swaddle me and a traditional swaddle (but he breaks thru bc the blannket is not big enough). he is sleeping in his bassinet on an incline due to his reflux and congestion. he really does not sleep anywhere else.
can anyone give me advice on how to help him sleep better????

try the Miracle blanket. It's amazing.
Also, do you have a sleep positioner to hlep him feel nice and snug?

Re: 6 weeks old...need some sleeping advice
Are the Aden + Anais swaddle blankets bigger? My DD would always break the swaddle bc the blanket wasn't big enough also so I started swaddling her in other, bigger blankets I received. I used a sleep positioner and turned the white noise and vibrate mode on in her pack and play. What about a binky?

Re: 6 weeks old...need some sleeping advice
DS was grunting and moaning a lot still at 6 weeks. He's starting to grow out of it. Now I kinda miss the grunting and moaning because he sleeps so quietly I check every once in a while if he's breathing .

6 weeks is a critical developmental period, so it may only be temporary because his body/systems are maturing!
Have you tried letting him sleep in a cradle swing

he wont use a binky.....it's just so frustrating. i know it's par for the course as they say with a newborn, but i just wonder how to get him more comfortable.

Wow, I have a 6 week old, who grunts in her sleep and also won't take a binky! Maybe they will grow up and get married!
I don't have any advice but I will say her grunting has subsided in the last 2 weeks. It used to be SO loud it kep me and DH up all night. Now if she grunts it's usually followed by a fart, burp or dirty (DIRTY!) diaper. We did start to swaddle her again at night (we're using the Swaddle Me) and she seems to be sleeping more soundly. White noise works too, although lately I think just the humming of the a/c is enough for her.

Re: 6 weeks old...need some sleeping advice
DS was a HUGE grunter to the point where we had to take him out of our room, bc we kept waking up!...He did that until about 12weeks! Nothing really helped, he still isnt a great sleeper, he doesnt nap and last night was the FIRST time he only woke up once!

Re: 6 weeks old...need some sleeping advice
I posted this before, but its helped me sooooooo much, I'm going to post again:
Try Happiest Baby on the Block Method
Swaddle (I prefer old school swaddle with a large square blanket, see swaddledesigns.com they sell them at target) Side Swing Shush Suck (a paci)
some real person on youtube doing it
After you have them calm and swaddled if they are calm but not asleep and you are tired and dont want to rock them, put them in the swing, pull the blanket under their legs, strap them in and let it swing for 5-10 minutes.
