7 week old "bed-time"
Obviously, it's not an actual bed time but when do you think would be a good time to have them in bed and ready to sleep....she's still waking ever 3 hours to eat and was hoping she would give me some longer stretches soon... Right now we bathe her around 7:30ish and has her bottle at around 8:15ish and is down to sleep around 9ish and usually falls asleep relatively quickly....but is then up at 12 to eat again etc...
Should I be putting her down later possibly, any tricks would be great!
TIA

Re: 7 week old "bed-time"
I try to get DS to bed at 10pm It doesn't always work but I get close to it most of the time. He gets up at 1a.m then around 4 am then 7 am and that's usually when I can't go back to sleep. lol When they're so young it's hard ot getinto a schedule. Just keep doing what you're doing. As babies get older they get better. XOXOXO BOTB

Re: 7 week old "bed-time"
DS is up every few hours to eat. I just feed on demand and he usually falls asleep after that. He doesn't really have a schedule, but he tends to eat around 11 or 12, then at 3 or 4 a.m. and then around 7 a.m.

Re: 7 week old "bed-time"
When DS was 7 weeks I didn't really set a schedule, I let him do it for me. He was up every 1-2-3 hours for feedings so I just fed on demand and let him set his own sleep schedule. Now at 3 months he has a much better schedule going and his bed time seems to be getting earlier and earlier. For a while he would be going down at 10pm and sleep 4 hours but now he is falling asleep anywhere from 8pm-930 pm and is sleeping longer stretches. It gets easier as time goes on!

Re: 7 week old "bed-time"
At that age we decided that 9pm would be a good bedtime - for DD and for me too. At that age she generally slept from 9 to about 2am so I actually got a few hours of sleep in and wasn't a zombie during the day.
As she got older her bed time got earlier but the bedtime routine was firmly established from the beginning.

Re: 7 week old "bed-time"
We always did sort of a tag team method...I'd go to bed at 9:00 and DH would try to do a feeding around 11:00. I always saw that as the "official" bedtime. Early on both boys started giving a four hour stretch so at least I got a decent amount of sleep before having to get up at 3:00.
