Afraid to ask but... are the kids over this bout of sickness?
Right before Christmas break I felt like EVERYONE was sick... flu, colds, stomach bugs, etc.
I was hoping to escape it during school, DS did and is still healthy even seeing a ton of people this week.
Did everyone's illness run its course now that back to school is looming?

DD has just recovered. DS came down with the flu 2 days ago, so... no.

We got slammed this vacation. DD got the virus the night before Christmas eve. DS got it the day after Christmas. DD is on the mend but still has the lingering cough. My friend's kids also had the same thing over break. I'm afraid it't still going around.

My kids oth had mild colds. My little me seems fine, but my older one as a lingering cough.

I was at the ped today-- for a recheck on the nasty chest cough my younger one had last week. I have never, ever seen it so packed. At least I was in the well waiting room, I could hear the separate sick waiting room and it sounded like a government quarantine facility.

I feel like I'm back with a toddler who had monthly ear infections until I gave him a probiotic.
For the most part they seem to be over it. But because of missing weeks of school with virus after virus, I'm going to give some acidophilus to give them a boost.

were JUST almost fully recovered. I am a teacher and agree EVERYONE was sick. So many teachers were sick we didn't even have enough subs to cover classes. And the crazy thing is normally its like one things that spreads. This was everything from strep and colds to the stomach virus. I have no sick days left so I hope my kids get sick on weekends from now on LOL

Ugh, this has been a rough vacation! DD threw up 6 times Saturday night, so a quick visit to PM Peds revealed an ear infection.
Every family we know - at least 1child has been sick this vacation.

UGH - I've been wondering the same thing! So far we've made it the whole school year a-ok but, like others have posted everyone we know is sick! I'm not looking forward to going back to school!!!!

My BFF just texted me from the PM Peds in Medford and said it is packed! Pretty much standing-room only at this point.

my 2 dd's are just recovering from double ear infections, pink eye, and the little one has upper respiratory infection... and me too... this is going on here 10 days.

We were doing okay but then DD started with a headache and low fever on Sunday and sore throat Monday. Took her to the ped confirmed strep. She actually isn't that sick but can't shake the low fever. Knock on wood the rest of us are strep free so far.

DD got over the flu that doesn't test positive on the rapid flu 2 weeks ago. It was bad. Fevers up to 105. We had a good run for a whole 10 days!!!! Now yesterday not herself temp 102 this morning. I am so sick of this. This is the 3rd time she has been sick since January 9th!

No, my friends in the hospital with her daughter right now. I wont even talk about my kids b/c Im afraid to jinx it and I have no sick days left myself.
