8 months Preggo & Moving
Is very stressful--I have not had one minute to sit down between packing, working, running to Home Depot and calling 1000 people (painters/cable)...oh-and lamazze/breastfeeding classes....
I hope the baby will not be stressed!!!
It might be better this way--if i wasnt moving i might be home eating bon tons!!

Re: 8 months Preggo & Moving
I know how you feel...I just wanted to send some hugs your way as I was moving when I was 8mths pregnant also with very little help...-but I survived and my dd arrived in one piece!!! I didnt put on a pile of weight during my pregnany and I think the fact that I was so busy made a diffrence.
I think no matter how difficult it was while pregnant it would have been harder with an infant.
Lots of hugs to you and hope you can get some rest!

Re: 8 months Preggo & Moving
I know your pain. I was due 4 days before we moved into our house and I was as big as a house too. I let DH handle most of it. Its exhausting to most people, esp being preggo. Its well worth it though to move in before the baby comes and get everything settled. It will all be over soon!

Re: 8 months Preggo & Moving
I completely understand. I won't be preggo when we move, we will have a one month old
We actually would have liked to move sooner, but we couldn't find anything on such short notice (we had to pay our rent for March if we were staying)
Just think that you can totally nest in a new space, that is really cool tho!

Re: 8 months Preggo & Moving
We have a closing date 12 days before my due date. So I will either be moving 2 weeks before my baby arrives , the day my baby arrives , or shortly thereafter . No, this doesn't stress me out at all.

Re: 8 months Preggo & Moving
I did the very same thing as you - and I am still trying to unpack and move things around - but eventually my body just gave out - I am 38 weeks now - please try and not stress about unpacking and getting the house together - impossible, I know, when all you want to do is nest!
I really had to force myself to say - it will all get done eventually, but not before the baby is born. The hardest thing ever!

Re: 8 months Preggo & Moving
I did the big move about the same time with my first PG...it was hard and exhausting. Trust me, you'll be glad you did it now as opposed to in a few more months! Just take it easy and let DH do all the work!

Re: 8 months Preggo & Moving
We will be moving sometime in April depending on our closing date (we haven't gotten one yet). But before I can move in we have to have the hard wood floors done and the whole 1st floor (kit, DR, LR, and Nur, and master bed and bath) painted. So DH, my parents and two friends are going to paint. Then we will have to move and then fix up our co-op to sell it. I have trouble now at 25 weeks with my commute to NYC I have no idea how I will get this all done - DH is great saying he will do most of it and my parents will help but it is still a lot of work
