While I don't agree with giving a child botox, I don't think she is an unfit mother which is a lot what the media kept bringing up. People make very stupid mistakes and this is one of them. I really think there are a lot bigger things to deal with that CPS should be concerned with than a mother being unfit for giving her child botox, which I still think is really dumb.
I'm sorry but IMO this is an unfit mother. Absolutely. Not only is she unfit, but she is pre meditating this behavior and repeating it over time. Who knows what Botox will really do...its been being used for such a short time.

This is absolutely ridiculous! I'm sorry but as an aesthetician, she is in no way trained on human anatomy to the extent that is needed to administer Botox. There are so many nerves in the face that if she hit them it could cause permanent damage to her daughters face. This woman is totally insane!

This is precisely what I was thinking. While it is not child abuse in the way that people traditionally view it, it is neglectful bordering on abusive. the child is 8 years old and this is not safe. The mother is not a medical doctor licensed to administer the medication.
I feel horribly for the child. The psychological effects are numerous.

On a side note, how dumb do you have to be to go on national television and advertise that you're doing this? Did she really think CPS wouldn't investigate after this?

I'm going to guess she's pretty stupid considering she gave her 8 yr. old botox injections to begin with

In a young child, if you're chronically using it on the face, it may actually change the shape of your face because your muscles interact with your bones to form what your face eventually looks like," Besser added.
Yeah, that's child abuse.
