WW "Best Ever Chili" Recipe (DELICIOUS) (UPDATED)

I thought I would post this here for anyone interested- everyone I give this recipe to RAVES about it. I got it at a WW meeting 2 years ago and even people that are not following any kind of diet plan LOVE it! Enjoy!

WW "Best Ever Chili" Recipe

1 lb of 93% lean ground beef
1 can Kidney Beans
1 can Pinto Beans
1 can corn
1- 4 ounce can chopped green chilis
1 can fat free refried beans (I prefer Taco Bell brand)
1 15 ounce can chopped (diced) tomatoes
1 16 ounce can (or 2 - 8 ounce cans) of tomato sauce (I prefer delmonte)
1 large onion
1 cup water
1 package taco seasoning (I prefer taco bell brand)
1 package Hidden Valley Ranch DRESSING mix (NOT buttermilk one)

Chop onion and brown ground beef. Add the rest of the ingredients (DO NOT drain anything.) Bring to a boil over medium heat and then simmer for 15 minutes.

Point value undetermined . . . It is supposed to be 1 point, but that has been debated and I have no explanation for possible inaccuracies, since I received this from WW. For most accurate points value, prepare according to directions and measure out in one cup measurements and use the recipe builder to determine points.

Re: WW 1 Point "Best Ever Chili" Recipe (DELICIOUS)

I made the chili last night-it came out delicious!
Just a sidenote, the 93% lean ground beef is on sale at Waldbaums!
It made so much, I will have it for a week.

Oh and I bought Tostitos Scoops (baked)-15 of them are only 1 point!

OMG thank you for posting this, I made it in the crockpot last night and it was amazing, it will be my new "specialty"! I didn't have all the ingredients so I tweaked it slightly. I threw all of the following in a crockpot and cooked on low for 8 hours.

1 lb of 93% lean ground beef
1 can Kidney Beans
1 can Pinto Beans
1 can black beans
1 large can tomato sauce (I used 29 oz. Redpack sauce)
1 large onion
1 cup water
1 package taco seasoning (I prefer taco bell brand)
1 package Hidden Valley Ranch DRESSING mix (NOT buttermilk one)

Re: WW 1 Point "Best Ever Chili" Recipe (DELICIOUS)

I bought all of the ingredients to make it and will have it for dinner tonight!

Question- should I include the liquid from the beans and corn or should I drain it beforehand?

Also, I just wanted to let people know that Waldbaums is having a sale. I just bought 93% lean ground beef for $2.99/lb. I also bought Rienzi kidney beans for $.59.

Stop and shop is having a sale on Del Monte tomatoes (all varieties- I bought diced and actually bought diced tomatoes with chilies) for $.99 each. Hunts tomato sauce is 4 8oz. cans for $1.

I put in all of the liquid from every can. Enjoy!

Also, it was much thicker the next day!!

Whoops!
I drained everything first - I wanted to get rid of the sodium!
EEK!
Oh, well, it was still good.
I doubled the recipe and made it for four. Needless to say, we have lunch for the next couple of days!!

As long as you make sure the ground chicken you are using has the same nutritional values as the 93 % lean beef or less. Some ground chicken is higher in calories and fat than 93% lean ground beef.
