Made the chili this afternoon ... couldn't get canned pinto beans so used Dark and Light Kidney beans, omitted the corn (it doesn't agree with me) and the chilis (can do without the *heat*). I drained the beans and instead ofusing 1 cup of water, used a can of low sodium FF beef broth.

I think it came out yummy but next time I would leave out the ranch dressing mix (I just don't like the smell it gives it) and I'd be willing to have a serving be worth more points to double the amount of beef.

OK I am making this, but I am using 90% lean because I couldn't find the 93%. Any ideas on how many more points it will be per cup?

I am thinking of saying 2points/cup just to be safe. I'll let you know how it turns out, but it smells delicious alreadyChat Icon

Re: WW 1 Point "Best Ever Chili" Recipe (DELICIOUS)

Did we ever come up with a DEFINATE amount of points if the recipe is made as listed?

There seemed to some question that maybe it wasn't really only a point per cup? Anyone?

i made this as well- it was great- i drained the beans and washed them before putting them in b/c the juice the beans are in are very high in salt!

i also doubled the recipe and used 1/2 lean beef and 1/2 half ground chicken

Put into the e tools recipe builder it is 3 points per cup.
I made this following the recipe exactly and measured it out then put it into the recipe builder. It is 3 points per cup so that's what I count it as.

i got all the ingredients today, my friend told me she used to make and it though it was too thin too so she added less water. I might try that. Chat Icon

I have made this chili many times and it is fantastic! Hard to believe when eating it that it is only 1 point per serving.
