9 months old and extremely picky eater...
Lauren is 9 months and i have been trying to get her to eat table food. I have tried some cut up chicken, which she pursed her lips shut and when i got her to opne, she screamed when it touched her tongue. I even tried chunkier stage 3 and she couldn't stand it, she has a bad gag reflex.
What should i do? If it's not puffs or baby food in a jar pureed, she won't eat it...

At that age for table foods I went with mostly cheerios and fruit, because they are easiest to eat. I hated giving DS stage 3 - he didn't like them until he was well over a year, I think the mix of textures is confusing to them.
Will she eat bananas, avocados, steamed carrots? Those are all things that are soft and easy to eat.

I have a picky eater here too. I started with adding cut up fruit to vanilla yogurt. She loved it. Then I did Pancakes cut up with butter on it. Then we did more fruits cut up. Pear, mango, kiwi...all of it. Now I can give her perdue chicken fingers and velveeta mac and cheese ( I cut it up small ) NOW she will not eat anything from a jar.

At 9 months I would NOT worry about DC being a picky eater, my ped didn't even have me start feeding DS table food until he was 11 months old.
She probably is picky b/c she isn't ready yet

That's exactly my DS. He will NOT try table food. If he sees me eat it and put it by him in locks him mouth shut. Even if I put it to his lips he makes a face. Won't even try bananas, but loves banana jar food
BTW.. he's 11.5 months old. He will have some puffs and jarred foods. That's it. I'd give her time. Mason will gag on anything else. Even threw a bagel on the floor
