9+ months TTC

I am on my 9th month ttc. I just wanted to see what you ladies are doing that have been ttc 9 or more months... I know i am not trying for the official 1 year yet... I think I am going to try to get some bloodwork done just to see if anything looks suspicious (like thyroid, iron, etc.). I know I am Oing regularly, I temp and use opks.
Are you doing anything different in regards to ttc now that it has been quite a bit of time trying?? Are you taking any medications, or has your doctor suggested anything to you?
Any suggestions for me???

We have been trying for 1 yr. there are certain factors that you should check out first and get blood work etc. I would call your GYN to get a work up and they may recommend a RE. I have been told sometimes the solution is a simple one.

I'm going onto month #3 and is not happy about it! I feel for you girls, it must be awful. I have my fingers crossed that a BFP comes your way soon before you lose your mind

I actually had my annual this week and my doctor volunteered that after 6months of trying (which would be next month) she would put me on Clomid...I actually declined as I am willing to wait out the full 1 year, but she never mentioned anything about going for testing or anything like that. HTH

I'm heading into month 10! I actually just went to my doc 2 wks ago, should get all my results back this week, Once we see about the thyroid issue we have to temp for a month and then are going to start Clomid. I feel better about having some direction just sad that i'm closer and closer to the year mark... so frustrated!

I think it all depends on how old you are as well.

we're on our 11th month now of trying - we went to my gyno at 8 months, they did an SA on DH (normal) and then sent us to an RE for further testing. I'm going on my 2nd cycle with the RE now. I just turned 37 though so my gyno suggested going to the RE before we hit the year mark.
Unless you have other factors at work, they usually suggest waiting until you've been trying for about a year before they send you to an RE if you're under 35.

It's all about your comfort level though, and certainly warrants a discussion with your dr about what you want to do.

And believe me.. the frustration is overwhelming sometimes. I have really bad days, and then days where i'm fine. I just try to say to myself that i have to stay positive. The body knows when you're stressed and over anxious and i don't want to do anything to potentially prevent a pregnancy.
