Wonky/ delayed cycles and false cancer mammogram scares after second dose of vaccine.
This is not something being discussed in the media or reported in any of the medical reports by CDC or FDA, but since I am experiencing all these symptoms myself i have created this post to understand just what exactly we are dealing with here and how many woman are affected by it.
Since my second vaccine 3 weeks ago I have had consistent discomfort in my breasts that can only be described as feeling of movements and sensations of filling up of breast tissues. It is rather painful. Furthermore, my period was extremely strange. Without going into TMI details, let's just say I have NEVER deviated from certain patterns in the last 15 years and i did the last time.
When i started having the pains in my breasts described above, i got very worried, needless to say, and was about to schedule a mammogram which i was due for anyway. Luckily, i had dinner with a friend right before and the subject came up, and she told me that this is apparently something that many woman have reported, unofficially. After many of them got back mammograms with false cancerous results, it is now being advised to wait at least a full month or longer before getting a mammogram after vaccine.
Apparently, this vaccine (I had pfizer) affects lymph nodes and therefore causes all kind of reactions within the body. Lymph nodes do become swollen when infection is introduced into the system and of course, this is what happened here, as any vaccine is just a mild dose of whatever infection we are being vaccinated against.
While all of this is explainable, i find it troublesome that no warnings of these developments, as it became known, are provided by FA, CDC or COVID vaccine dedicated media channels.
Would love to hear from the women on these boards on their experience in that department. Please comment or simply vote in the poll if you wish to remain anonymous.

Strange. I’ve had all sorts of breast pain the past month but I got the vaccine in December. I haven’t heard any of these reports. I just attributed it to hormones. I have PCOS so my cycle is always horrific like I only get a period with medication horrific

I've heard reports all over that say women should delay mammos for a bit after the shot....your lymph nodes help drain infection etc. so it would not be unusual for you to feel some lymph node involvement after the shot I would think. Cant answer your specific situation but I definitely read all over the place that lymph node issues and issues on mammos were common and to delay....

I had both my shots (Pfizer) in April and I have not gotten my period since March 22nd. (I know I am not pregnant) don’t know if it is from the shot or the fact that I am in my late 40’s......

Yes, lymph nodes can get swollen and cause some discomfort when facing an infection but it’s not something that happens every time, actually this happens very few times. The amount of infection that settles in the body, how well equipped our immune system is at the moment, and how it responds to the infection can dictate if lymph nodes get inflamed or not.
I can’t speak from my own experience cause I have not gotten the vaccine but I have heard many women experiencing what you’re experiencing. What puzzles me is the connection between menstrual cycles and this type of vaccine. It’s not just vaccinated women that are experiencing this but also unvaccinated women that have become in prolonged contact with vaccinated people and that have never really had issues with their periods before. I’m talking about hundreds of women having either very long periods, extremely heavy periods, passing significantly big blood clots during their period, spotting for several weeks, or not having their periods at all for multiple months. I hope they look into this issue and fast.

There have been quite a few articles about this in the New York Times and the NIH is officially studying this, so I am really not sure where you think it is not being reported or studied, because they are asking these questions on the app after you get the vaccine. I am really sorry you are experiencing side effects. That must be very worrisome on a personal level. I am super regular and still am. Ever since having my daughter eleven years ago, I normally get breast pain just before having my period. I had my OBGYN evaluate me and went for a mammogram and ultrasound. Both thankfully were fine. But there have been numerous articles about lymph node swelling and mammogram post covid vaccination. This is a very well known thing.

I was only 3 months post partum and hadn’t gotten my period yet (had just stopped breast feeding) so I wouldn’t even know.

Re: Wonky/ delayed cycles and false cancer mammogram scares after second dose of vaccine.
I've read about changes on periods after the vaccine -heavier or irregular-. But when I went for my mammogram I noticed for the first time the questions about getting a vaccine in the last weeks and which arm, which led me to think that there could be side effects from vaccines affecting the mammoth results. That question might have been there prior years, but this was the first time I was aware of it. Hope it all gets better for you.

Re: Wonky/ delayed cycles and false cancer mammogram scares after second dose of vaccine.
I answered none of the above (had the J&J vaccine)
I did however see something on TikTok recently about men and their testicles becoming swollen and painful after the mRNA vaccines. Again, nothing on the news or in the reports that I’ve seen and I mean, It is TikTok - but I saw quite a few posts about it. Sounds similar.
I hope you begin to feel better soon. Have you tried taking Advil for the swelling?

Wonky/ delayed cycles and false cancer mammogram scares after second dose of vaccine.
My period had been more or less consistent since I got the vaccine in January.
Delaying mammograms has been all over the news and they are currently collecting data to see if periods have changed since receiving the vaccine. I’ll see if I can find the link.

Does anyone find these things concerning? Testicle swelling? Breast pain? Having to delay mammograms? Menstrual cycle issues? What other vaccine has ever had these side effects? Why doesn’t the flu shot cause this? The Tdap? This is extremely concerning to me. But maybe that's just me

Yes, it is extremely concerning. I’m a teacher, and everyone at work looks at me like I have 2 heads that I’m not in a rush to get this vaccine. My husband and I are really freaking out about what we’re going to do when (not if, when), it will be required for school.

I’m with you. I have taken CoVid very seriously to the point where I have taken more drastic measures to stay protected than the average person.
Even still, I’m not vaccinated yet because it’s still too new for my liking and I’m uneasy with it feeling like a trend or a societal pressure. Seeing people post stickers on Facebook or their cards or picture frames seems.. odd? I just have mixed feelings on it.
I’m in no rush to attend a concert, sporting event, board a plane, go to a movie, or even dine yet, so I’m in the clear for now.

I recently read something about unvaccinated women experiencing this after prolonged contact with a vaccinated person. Someone posted the article on Facebook, which got me googling, but there was two people who swear it happened to them. Maybe the separate area for the unvaccinated isn’t so bad

It’s definitely concerning to me. But my decision to get the vaccine came after having Covid and seeing first hand what it did to my body and how it took a handful of people I knows parents from them in such a horrible way. I did whatever research I could , with whatever was known at the time and made the choice I was ok with. Which is why I am absolutely against making the vaccine mandatory until they have the right amount of info on them to at least be FDA approved.
The flu shot has made people sick in the past, myself included. The arm I got it in was all swollen once year and my arm pit as well. I had an extreme inflammatory response to it that year which included all of my joints in my body as well. It took almost 2 months for me to go back to normal. It didn’t happen again the last couple of years - who knows what was added that time? New strain my body had at one point?
But these vaccines are still unknown, so I get peoples apprehension.
ETA: I wanted to touch on medical unknowns a little bit more. I tried for years to have a baby. Injecting enormous amounts of hormones into my body, going for surgeries, etc. Years. At the end of my journey my own dr stated that we still don’t know what these high (I was at max doses) amounts of hormones for extended periods of time can do to a person in the future - increased cancer risk for one... I still did it. The benefits outweighed the risk for me. Unfortunately I didn’t succeed but it was a choice I made. Same goes for this vaccine. For me, the hopeful benefits outweigh the risks that they know of and what they don’t know yet.

I can’t imagine vaccinated people are emitting some sort of rays to change peoples cycle with. It could be how women tend to sync up when they spend time together? Or I know there are times when I feel like everyone I know got AF early that same month. It happens like clockwork with the girls at work. I always get it first and they base it on me. So 2 mo ago I got it on day 24 instead of day 28-30 and told the girls. Then, like clockwork they followed my lead. But with me, I get a 22-24 day cycle 2x a year. Always have. I have the years of period app logs to correlate.
I haven’t noticed anything different with my period, my breasts, really anything. The only thing different I feel is better emotionally. Between my natural antibodies and the shot boosting them.
I still have issues from Having Covid itself though so that definitely sucks.

My friend and I were talking about his. After the first dose (we receive it on the same day), she was 9 days late and I was 7 days late. I had the second dose a week and a half ago and I am a week and a half early. It is very weird!

OMG I was just going to say this. Everyone is like, oh yeah it’s all over the news, what’s your problem, it is normal.
No one wants to admit that there are issues that could be bad after getting these vaccines and then wonder why many of us don’t want to get it.

Totally understandable. Everyone needs to make their own decisions based on risk/reward for THEM. But in no way should this be mandated for anything. Work, school, flying etc.
And I wouldn't even consider giving this to a young child.

We have decided to un-enroll and temporarily rent in a neighboring state that doesn’t require it until the teachers union HAS to fight with us bc so many will be on the chopping block bc of plunging enrollment. Most people I speak to said they will homeschool and hope for the same and that it’s temporary.
Sadly, so many I know regret getting it and have no intentions of getting a booster or getting yearly. I haven’t spoke or heard one person who regrets NOT getting it.
