No symptoms like this at all.
Personally I think some people may be searching for reasons not to get the vaccine. With the MILLIONS of vaccines delivered this is likely a correlation vs. a causation.
I got the vaccine so what am I searching for by telling people about things I experienced? I think people should know what’s going on.
The problem with associating your symptoms with the vaccine is that menstrual cycles are easily affected by stress, diet, etc. You cannot definitively say that one thing causes another. Besides, is it a one month thing? If so, is it really that consequential?
The likelihood is that they are not related at all. However, others who want to will take it as a reason not to get the vaccine because they are searching for reasons not to.
If there was truly something that affected women's menstrual cycles on a large scale, permanently, then I believe it would have come to light by now.
First of all, I’d love to know what school of medicine you graduated from? Second, what sense does it even make regarding your comment about women searching for reasons not to vaccinate??? The ones who reported the issues HAD the vaccine. In all likelihood unrelated??? Stop shoveling your personal agenda down others throats that this vaccine undoubtedly causes NO HARM when it has not even been officially approved by the FDA or has even been around long enough that there are clear and absolute answers. Just stop. Stop silencing women who have true health concerns especially when you have ZERO knowledge of their past medical history. These issues must be fully investigated and we need to stand together for a holistic approach to the stupid friggin virus. WE get to weigh our risks vs benefits as it pertains to ourselves, until all information is collected that is not possible. PS zero f’s are given about any media article you post about this. Find the case studies and we can talk.
Wow what a first post. Welcome
Maybe it's a lurker who feels compelled to post for the first time because of the overwhelming amount of idiocy on this thread. Yes, I am sure a bunch of women who all had regular cycles and then got the vaccine started menopause that same month as a coincidence, even though many vaccines are known to affect menstrual cycles and this type of reaction is not abnormal at all. But yes, it's just because of course we are in our 40s and going thru menopause. I guess we are just imagining these symptons. Similar to how one poster has imaginary children and an imaginary significant other..... But I digress.

When I scheduled my mammo a few months ago they specifically asked if I had the vaccine because if I did, I would've needed to hold off on my mammo for a few weeks. They mentioned swollen lymph nodes could obscure my mammo results. I don't think it's any concern healthwise, the doctors were very matter of fact about it.
I have heard this on the news too however I had a mammo scheduled since January and it was 5 days after I got the vaccine. They did have an additional form when I got the mammo asking if and when I had the vaccine and which one it was. They said it was still fine to get the mammo. So I guess you can but there is an increased chance that the results might be affected by the vaccine.
My place wouldn't schedule or perform your mammo unless a certain amount of time passed since your vaccine. Guess every place is handling it differently.

Yes, lymph nodes can get swollen and cause some discomfort when facing an infection but it’s not something that happens every time, actually this happens very few times. The amount of infection that settles in the body, how well equipped our immune system is at the moment, and how it responds to the infection can dictate if lymph nodes get inflamed or not.
I can’t speak from my own experience cause I have not gotten the vaccine but I have heard many women experiencing what you’re experiencing. What puzzles me is the connection between menstrual cycles and this type of vaccine. It’s not just vaccinated women that are experiencing this but also unvaccinated women that have become in prolonged contact with vaccinated people and that have never really had issues with their periods before. I’m talking about hundreds of women having either very long periods, extremely heavy periods, passing significantly big blood clots during their period, spotting for several weeks, or not having their periods at all for multiple months. I hope they look into this issue and fast.
I recently read something about unvaccinated women experiencing this after prolonged contact with a vaccinated person. Someone posted the article on Facebook, which got me googling, but there was two people who swear it happened to them. Maybe the separate area for the unvaccinated isn’t so bad
I think the being near someone who has been vaccinated, so my period is late, or I'm getting bloody noses in allergy season...is really reaching. I've read those posts all over the mom groups on FB.
I haven't been vaccinated, but like many women who are talking about this that I have seen in the groups I'm in (40 something women), I'm also in my 40's, and my periods can be normal, and then very delayed. That's what happens in your 40's though.
I have been vaccinated and I got my period two weeks early and it was very heavy, cramps, lasted 5 day’s. I am fairly regular even thou I’m in my 40s and my period never lasts more than 3 days. I also had a bloody nose and I haven’t had a bloody nose since high school. So yeah, pretty sure they are both vaccine related. Also has a horrible reaction to the vaccine itself starting 9 hours after I got it. Will not be getting it again. My strange period and bloody nose were not menopause and allergy season. It was 100% vaccine related and to think otherwise is ridiculous.
But you got the vaccine. Read my response again.
Yes I was typing quickly on my phone but your theory makes no sense. People are truly reporting these effects and they are widely known. No one is seeking this out as a means to avoid the vaccine. If you want to think this is some crazy conspiracy theory so be it but as someone that had a crazy reaction to this vaccine I really don't give a rats ass if you believe me or not.

Yes but that just goes to show you that clearly medical professionals understand that there can be all different kinds of reactions to this shot. Most will say the side effects are not permanent or long lasting but I am not sure why anyone would attack another for having concern. I drink diet coke and eat processed foods so I am not all that concerned with everything I put into my body, but if I was a super careful about putting artificial substances into my body I certainly would not have taken the vaccine. I was not concerned about getting covid because I am not high risk and I was not concerned about getting the vaccine but I have had some pretty bad side effects from it. Please don't dismiss people who want to talk about their experience because it might not be the norm - and this is not aimed at all at you Hofstra, just the others on this thread. I don't tell JML that she's clearly a liar because no one has that many close family members who were young and healthy have severe covid resulting in hospitalization and/or death because it's statistically impossible. I tell her I'm sorry for her loss and move on. Even though it might not be likely or common, the fact of the matter is that these are real side effects and to dismiss them as coincidence is frankly really insulting.

Re: Wonky/ delayed cycles and false cancer mammogram scares after second dose of vaccine.
Here is the thing. There was a thread about masks causing dental issues. And the OP's dentist- who is a professional in that area I would hope and assume- told her that dental issues CAN occur from mask wearing. People went off on her because of that.
Now, when people say they have had a side effect from the vaccine they are met with that same nastiness and "it can't be from the vaccine. no way in hell. It must be pollen. Or peri menopause"
Why can't we say that masks are helpful but they might cause a problem in certain areas?
Why cant' we say that the vaccine works but it might have side effects?
Why does anything negative about masks and/or this vaccine automatically get shot down?
Not everything is black and white. Why the huge propaganda campaign? Why is questioning of anything not allowed in this society anymore?

Re: Wonky/ delayed cycles and false cancer mammogram scares after second dose of vaccine.
If you are really worried about it, you should discuss your concerns with your health care provider. I would put money on the fact that he/she wouldn't be overly concerned. While you personally may think they are related, there are a great many variables that could have affected your cycle. I have not read any medical research stating any such causation.
You state it as if it was definitive that the vaccine caused your wonky cycle. That being said, I've read many posts about those who are very hesitant to get the vaccine because "of the unknown". Promulgating unsubstantiated fears doesn't help that.

Have you even googled it? They are studying the links now and they already know that other vaccines have affected women’s cycles. This is not an unsubstantiated fear. This is a known side affect. Isn’t it better to be aware of it rather than to act like anyone who has these side effects is crazy?

Couldn’t agree more! It must be [insert whatever excuse here] but not the vaccine. And if all other reasons fail, then it must be a coincidence but never the vaccine.

Re: Wonky/ delayed cycles and false cancer mammogram scares after second dose of vaccine.
The point is anything "off" - your cycle, a nosebleed, a rash, dry eyes, and on and on and on CAN be an adverse reaction. But does it matter in the aggregate? Can it even be proven? What is the point unless it IS something that is significant - like, perhaps, blood clots (which may not even be the vaccine, but that is/was significant to slow down it's distribution). It is all hearsay and folklore to scare and detract from the greater good. The truth is unless we reach the vaccine hesitant we will get that much further from herd immunity in this country. Have you seen the ravages of Covid in India?

1. You can’t compare our medical system to India. You can’t even compare our country in general to parts of India.
2. If we talk herd immunity let’s looks at those who have had Covid or have natural immunity. Why are we only looking at only vaccinations.
3. Come “Covid season” those elderly that were vaccinated in January....are they still protected? This is what worries me. I don’t care if people want to be vaccinated or not. I worry for those who do and NEED to and we have no clue if they are still protected.
4. What happens on year two of the vaccine. Do your reactions get worse if you had a terrible reaction? I want to know this before I make my decision.
5. We have never had herd immunity with the flu. We learned to live with it.
6. My biggest issue with what you said. Anything that might potentially mess with your menstrual cycle IS a big issue. They are trying to force our college and high school children to get this. Do you realize if it is proven (and I hope not) that this could have MAJOR consequences down the road.

Wonky/ delayed cycles and false cancer mammogram scares after second dose of vaccine.
There might be a connection to our immune systems and our cycles. Studies are being conducted. Here’s one: https://redcap.healthinstitute.illinois.edu/surveys/index.php?s=LL8TKKC8DP

I did read that the reason for higher cases of dental issues was the fact that many people postponed their yearly check-ups due to covid. Whether that is true, who knows. I did not have any issues regarding my cycle after the second vaccine.

Re: Wonky/ delayed cycles and false cancer mammogram scares after second dose of vaccine.
FYI, they legally cant mandate it bc it is "emergency use only" right now. Once it does become FDA approved than they can. We probably wont see that till at least middle of 2023, when all the trials stages are over. Also according to OSHA "employers who try to mandate must now record ANY adverse reactions as Workplace injuries".

That's actually good to know. I hope the same goes for schools. I don't want my daughter being forced to get this to attend school. At least not yet. By 2023 I may feel better. Or not

There might be a connection to our immune systems and our cycles. Studies are being conducted. Here’s one: https://redcap.healthinstitute.illinois.edu/surveys/index.php?s=LL8TKKC8DP
I thought this was known? The winter after I got married I had the flu and I missed my period. I was terrified I was pregnant bc we just weren’t ready yet. I ended up not being pregnant but my gyno said my body fighting the infection was absolutely the reason I skipped my cycle that month and it’s very common.

While I didn't have the same pain in my breasts that you are describing or any changes to my period ( I am on the pill) I did have swelling in the lymph nodes of my arm pit and tenderness for a few days after my 2nd dose.
