A bird's-eye view of yesterday's parade
DH and I have the great fortune of being able to see the parade from the balcony of his sister's apartment. I brought our nephew (my brother's 4 year old) with us. It was great. Having spent every Thanksgiving in my life in NY as a NYer, I thought it was about time I finally saw this spectacular. Here are some pictures from 22 floors up!:

The only disadvantage was the fact that the bigger balloons like Shrek and Kermit are on their stomachs due to liability. They are less likely to do damage on a windy day. It was a lil hard to see their faces.

Those pictures are great....
we are always in a building facing Herald Square for the parade but we are lower down (like on the 5th floor)...we can see all the performances and stuff, however there is this stupid tree in Herald Square that refuses to lose its leaves ever...so that usually obstructs our view.
We are pretty much below the balloons so seeing your pics from high up like that is pretty cool.
