A bit of a sad evening......

So last week, we decided that we were going to take DS' night bottle away and replace it with his sippy for his evening feedings. This was his last bottle. We spent the weekend doing this and he fought it a bit but did great.

So last night, I took all his bottles and washed and sterilizd them and put them away. I was so incredible sad - to the point of tears.

I don't know where the last 15 mths have gone! A part of me wants my baby back. DH was joking that I guess it was time to start planning for #2. There is a part of me that can't wait for next year to come fast enough.

Chat Icon I know exactly how you feel. DS is 13 months and I still hold him and give him his morning and evening bottles because I enjoy it even though he is perfectly capable of drinking it himself.

I felt a little embarrassed this weekend in front of my ILs when I had my big boy draped on my lap and I was giving him his bottle because I couldn't let go.Chat Icon

I can't imagine taking it away from him in a couple of months even though I know it has to be done. I really enjoy that time with him.

I can relate. Athan is almost 15 months old and I just can't take away his last evening bottle. This weekend we gave him milk and his sippy and he did great. I just couldnt cave and hold back his night bottle. Chat Icon
