A christmas card for DH...
I've decided to make a personal xmas card for DH this year... I just fooled around and created this little poem this morning. Is it cute or too queer for words? 
'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Our baby was gurgling - to me, not my spouse
The diapers were stacked by the table with care,
In hopes that Big Daddy soon would be there;
Then baby was nestled all snug in his crib,
While that day-old formula stained his very best bib;
With me in my sweatpants, and hubby in shorts
It was a too-quiet evening, a miracle of sorts…
When out in the nursery arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But our wee little baby with poop on each ear.
I scooped him up gently – and told hubby: “Quick--
“Feed him or change him? You take your pick!”
And slow as a turtle to the table he came,
And he grumbled and moaned, and then started the change;
“Oh Baby! Oh Stinky! Oh Poopie! You’re Dirty!
Let’s make this fast cause its 3 freakin’ 30.”
And then, in a twinkling, I heard his tone soften
(He doesn’t change this wee baby too often…)
“There you go baby, you’re all clean and dry…”
And I’d swear that he wiped a small tear from his eye…
He looked his baby, touched his hands then his feet
Amazed at this miracle it took 9 months to meet…
And I knew in my heart what his words couldn’t say
Here’s the reason that he works so hard every day…
Then he hands me the baby and I start to feed him
And smile at my husband, he knows I can read him
He then said to me as I took in this sight
"Happy Christmas to all, now please turn out the light!"
