spend the whole afternoon taking pictures and dh doenst like any of the 162 pictures i took. i weeded it down to the 60 that i like and he said no have to take new ones. heres the link to shutterfly what do you think?link

She is soooo adorable! I love her dresses! Especially the burgundy one! I think there are a lot of cute pics in there, I couldn't pick out just one that was my fav though

where can i go to take new pictures that have christmassy backgrounds. i dont need to actually see santa since olivia is deathly afraid of him. TIA

Did he say what he didn't like about them? My sister got a great shot one year at the mall near the santa set up.

he said that the burgundy dress is to shiny and makes olivia looked washed out and over exposed and that her shiny shoes also throw off the picture. the ones of her standing and smiling i love but he said she looks flat in the picture and that it looks like a cookie cut out of her.

I heard that the indoor part at the Holtsville Ecology Site is very nice. My friend took her pics there last year and they were awesome!
Also your pics are very nice it just seems like getting her looking and smiling in the same picture is missing. But I know from experience, that is hard!

What if you play around with the soft effect function. Maybe that will the look of the picture and change DH's mind.

well i tried playing around with them before and he still said no so i have to take new pictures tomorrow. going to try and take them in the checker dress so he cannot comment of the burgundy dress being too distracting.

I love them.

I don't think the color of the dress washes her out.

Is it important for you to get the whole dress in? I think a close up of her face taken with her looking up would be perfect.

Don't feel bad. It's hard to get a good picture of your own kids. It took me an hour before I could get Maddie to look at the camera with out squinting & in the end am settling for a photo that she's not even looking directly at the camera.

It is sooooooooo hard to take pics of your own kids - this is why I like taking other people's kids better

While they are cute pics I have to agree with DH. Olivia is so much cuter than those pics show. They don't do her justice at all, she usually looks soooo radiant and smiley in pics. I'd try again. JMO.

I love the hand on the hip pose! Too cute. Actually I like all of them and thought that the ones with her sitting on the black chair might be good for a card.

Not sure where you are but if you are looking to get more pictures with holiday decorations in the background I have to suggest Fortunoff. I was out last weekend and went in through the second floor entrance from the parking garage and they had a really nice set up...chair in front of a tree and fireplace that might be cute for a picture. Plus they have their tree set up downstairs.

DH is crazy! I like pictures 10, 17,31.

If you are looking for a different type of background that isn't necessarily Christmasy, go to the beach. Olivia would look great all dressed up with that as the background.
