This happened to a friend of mine they kept telling at every sono that it was a girl and than she popped out
a boy.

Unfortunately unless you get an amnio it can never be 100%.

I think it can only be as good as the sono technician.

I am sure for the most part it is correct thoughChat Icon

I agree with this. I was worried about this, so after the level II, I asked at every single sono "It's definitely a boy, right?" Chat Icon

Re: A co-worker really freaked me out yesterday

See, I'm so worried about this, too because I was told I'd have another sonogram at 32 weeks, but now the dr. said there's really no reason to do another one until 37 weeks...at which point, if my little girl is really a little boy, there's going to be a LOT of scrambling to redecorate!Chat Icon However, I did pick all neutral patterns for things like my carseat, pack n play, etc, so that if I have a boy next, I can use them, so it would just be clothes and bedding I'd need to switch.

I have heard of it too. That is why when I go for sonos I make them check again and one time there he was spread eagle. We got a nice shot of itChat Icon I'm sure it's a boy.

Re: A co-worker really freaked me out yesterday

See- Just this morning my friends co worker had a baby-

Was told its a girl its a girl its a girl.... baby comes out... SURPRISE- its a boyChat Icon Chat Icon

I was shocked- because other than my aunt (like 20 something years ago) I have never known anyone that this has happened too... I figured with todays technology, it happens so much less....

From what I understand- its alot easier to mistake a girl for a boy (since sometime his "boys" can get tucked in....) Rather than to see his "boys" say its a boy- and then have a girl...

I think it rarely happens... but it does in fact happen!

My thoughts for if this happened to me...

EVERYTHING big (swing, travel sysetm, carseats, bouncy, highchair etc..) was unisex..... so if it wouldve happened to me... the only things that wouldve been a problem was the bedding (which someone could return for you... get you a new one and set it up all before you even come home- if you wanted) and the clothes/jackets(which trutfully- I dont know what happens then)...

Re: A co-worker really freaked me out yesterday

This happened to a friend of mine as well. All along every u/s was boy boy boy.....then what popped out!!! a babyChat Icon

And she had a HUGE baby shower with tons and tons of baby boy items which alot she had to take back to the stores..it was just so hard to do all of that.

This is one of the reasons that when I do get pg, I may not find out the sex and just get unisex because you really dont know until the baby comes out
